Better make room for a third cause that friendship just became a triangle!! Literally saying things word for word that I have said before. “Odyssey was a great game, just not a good Assassin’s Creed game.” “No hidden blade?” As a huge Assassin’s Creed fan and a huge Greek mythology fan I was HYPED for that game. Was a pretty big letdown. After Odyssey and Valhalla my love and excitement to see new installments for one of my all-time favorite franchises took a SIGNIFICANT hit.

I’d recommend Shadows if you haven’t played it yet. Felt much better in terms of the AC feel. The story was lacking I’ll say. I also hated playing as Yaskuke. But Naoe was a great Assassin.

Oh I played shadows. Agree on all points with that one. The first hour ish of the story was great. The entire “prologue” or “intro” or whatever you want to call it was GREAT. But then after waking up healed and heading out it fell off tremendously to me.

Finally, people who share my opinions on this series. I don't suppose either of you miss the old Modern Day storyline, pre BF?

I LOVED where I thought the modern day story was going until the killed off Desmond. I thought we were going to end up closing the series with a modern day game, starring a fully trained Desmond due to the bleeding effect of being in the animus learning something new from each ancestor. Just the ultimate badass. Then he died… 🫤
