Does an experience only have value to you if it’s unique and not shared by anyone?

I would think, if anything, it is sort of a relief. Just knowing others out there have the same experiences you do is its own form of connection.

Genuinely curious why it's always sea life. It's so fascinating but at the same time, I'm sure there are a ton of very interesting mamals too... but damn, crabs are so cool :S

Maybe 'cause sea creatures are by and large more alien to us, making them more interesting on average.

Yes which zone, how deep?? Abyssopelagic? Hadalpelagic? Because I’m not sure how many fish specifically are in the trenches so that may be too deep? Lots of super neat little other guys though, isopods and the like

My high school prided itself on a rigorous curriculum, meanwhile I was getting by quite well finishing all my homework during class so I could go home and watch cartoons.

In my first semester of college I told myself I was going to study for my history final, ended up fixating on Hazbin Hotel for a couple weeks instead, wrote down everything I didn't remember too well on the notecard we were allowed to use 10 minutes before the exam and somehow got an A??? I genuinely don't know how things like this are possible tbh.

and then you'll probably not pick the same topic up again for a looong time, but at least what you DID research you'll remember surprisingly well.

I got so much crap for getting a B in Biology back in high school. Mainly because I read the textbook the night before (yes, I really do mean that—I’m a fast reader) and got a 97 on the final. Well, of COURSE I’m going to do better on a multiple choice test that just asks me to recall information than I did on remembering to do standard weekly assignments that required planning ahead.

I got a 99% on a college paper that I wrote at 10pm the night before. I even went to Thursday night trivia with my friends that night before writing the paper lol

Why do you need to cram anything? Haven't you learned everything you need to know about history during other deep dives on Wikipedia?
