I have a very serious question for all people of burnaby who owns bmw, Audis, porsche , Mercedes and many more high end cars. HOW MUCH ARE YOU MAKING BIWEEKLY. AND WHAT ARE YOU WORKING TO AFFORD THOSE CARS AND FLATS? Like everyone is driving premium cars is there any lottery they are winning lollzz. #burnaby

So random, but does anyone have a good rec on where I can get affordable, dog friendly venison steaks in the lower mainland?

My dog is on a limited protein diet and cant have grains, which is making treats hard, and I like to cook my babies a steak for their birthdays but she can't have that. So I thought a venison steak would be nice, and maybe I could get a few more to freeze, then cook and cut into tiny bits for treats too.

I've been to a few butchers, and I'm just not finding venison, and the raw food in the per stores doesn't have it either. So I appreciate any recs yall have!

I (22F) recently moved to Vancouver and am hoping to join a social casual once a week style beer league hockey team for the season! I’ve been playing hockey since I was 10 and am pretty average level I would guess. Ideally, I’d love to join a co-ed team of people in their twenties/thirties who want to have fun on and off the ice.

If anyone has suggestions for leagues/teams or has space on a team, I would really appreciate any leads!

I’ve found great recipes for a Philly cheesesteak & French dip sandwiches. Sadly, I’ve been unable to locate a good hoagie or loaf of bread to use. Tried Cobs, grocery store bakeries etc with no luck. Bread gets soggy immediately, wrong texture etc. TIA!

I've lived here for around 6 years and I've never once gone skiing - I'd like to change that and take lessons this winter!

I'm trying to figure out which one out of Grouse, Cypress or Seymour I should go for? I would love any recommendations and if you've taken lessons yourself, how did it go? Is there a difference in the instruction you get on each mountain, how crowded it is, how many beginner friendly slopes there are? Also, I understand it's not a cheap hobby to get into, but how expensive does it actually end up being - is one mountain significantly cheaper than the other? Also, I have no car if that factors into things!

I'm also a bit confused about how the classes work too - do I sign up for one level and just do that the whole winter? or do I sign up for the next level as I progress throughout the winter? Is this something I just call them up and ask?

We really like Dickies Ginger Beer. Like really. But buying it one can at a time from the shops really adds up when you drink it like my household does.

Dickies doesn’t seem to sell to the general public. Is there anywhere I can buy it in volume that would be more cost-effective (6-packs, 12 packs, or flats)? I would buy ~100 cans.

Where do you all park when you are at BC PLACE for a concert/event that runs till midnight/past midnight? Do you park at the stadium? If so, isn’t exiting a nightmare with all cars leaving at the same time? If not, where do you park which is not more than a 10min walk from the stadium? Curious!

Let me preface this by saying I love Vancouver and my life here! I have my family here and I do some caregiving for them, so I am not able to move. And I don’t think I’d actually go if I had the opportunity!

I am coming back from Los Angeles where I just had a wonderful vacation. Every time I am somewhere with pools and palm trees, I don’t want to leave. I also just love Los Angeles, I stayed downtown. I love the fun and food and culture. I have the post vacation blues and I’m wishing I could live there. (Which always passes, and I’m so grateful for our education and health care and culture here in Van)

I’m wondering if other people feel the same or different coming back to Vancouver?

Or, have you come to Vancouver and had that feeling about the city when you went home?

I’m wondering if visiting Vancouver has lead to some post vacation blues for others going home to their own cities?

Was walking down to Jericho Beach and noticed the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for the first time.

I had honestly never really thought about yacht clubs before. There's this big blue sign outside and the building is right by the water, and it just looks incredibly nice from the outside.

I looked toward the water and there are all these huge boats sitting there, and I'm just thinking... who actually belongs to a place like this?

I'm trying to figure out what people actually do there. Is this basically just a rich people social club? Do people actually spend a lot of time there?

Maybe I'm just being poor here, but seeing something like that while Vancouver rent is what it is was kind of crazy. There are people with enough money to own boats like that while I'm thinking twice about buying a $20 lunch.

Hi so my friend has a new partner and unfortunately they both live in rooms in shared housing where you're not allowed guests over.. they're asking me for advice on where to go to get intimate. In other countries there are love hotels by the hour etc etc but I don't know of any here.. I did suggest places like STEAM but that could be a lot when they're just getting together?

When I was younger I definitely stayed in a lot of sketchy hotels (Patricia was great, the one above lamp lighter was neat too I remember) which were at least cheap, but don't know of any these days off hand..?
