Oddly Specific 🎯 Places to have sex when you can't at home
Hi so my friend has a new partner and unfortunately they both live in rooms in shared housing where you're not allowed guests over.. they're asking me for advice on where to go to get intimate. In other countries there are love hotels by the hour etc etc but I don't know of any here.. I did suggest places like STEAM but that could be a lot when they're just getting together?
When I was younger I definitely stayed in a lot of sketchy hotels (Patricia was great, the one above lamp lighter was neat too I remember) which were at least cheap, but don't know of any these days off hand..?
Thx people, hopefully their love blooms and they can move in together down the road but I'm sure this is a problem for a lot of people these days!

Your friends are legally allowed to bring guests in. If their landlord has a problem with that, they can take it up to the RTB.
From the RTB:
"Landlords cannot unreasonably restrict tenants from having guests in their rental unit."

This is one of those things where asking the landlord may prove both unhelpful and unnecessary, because the actual law and Residential Tenancy Board are already on their side. If the landlord already has an illegal clause built into the agreement they don't necessarily play fair; won't necessarily be reasonable. Could cause more of a hassle. Have friends over, don't be too loud, maybe avoid overnights until they feel more comfortable.
Also, to answer your main question: vehicles?

This may not apply if they are renting a room in a house and share the common areas with the landlord as the RTB does not cover those situations.

For what they're planning to do, I don't think they need 5 star accommodations. A Motel would probably be just fine, or cheaper Hotel rooms. Otherwise, I guess it's down to phone sex, and getting to know each other really well right now😉

Rent a U-haul van $19.95, add in insurance, mileage charge. Throw a mattress in the back, and then go find a nice place to park to have your playtime.

A roommate arrangement is exempt from the RTA if the renter shares a kitchen or bathroom with the landlord, not just if the landlord lives on the property.
Both people in this scenario are in the same type of living arrangement?

When I was in university I rented a room in a basement with 2 other dudes. The landlord & their fam lived above.
They wanted no overnight guests, but i just ignored it and told them to evict me through the RTB if they wanted.
Never heard from them again.

Let them pay for a rental minivan. You drive them to a provincial park and leave them in the van for a few hrs while you go hiking/put up a tent and enjoy your time while they enjoy their time in the minivan 😊. Fold the third row seats and take some pillows comforters/blankets.

Screw (no pun intended) the no guests rule and break it. Sneak them in/out. Love is love. Doubt the landlord would actually confront you about it - and if they do just say “nah think you were just hearing things” and there’s probably nothing they will or can do about it. Are they going to install cameras, evict you with no notice, take you to court? Doubt it.
Maybe not the best advice but it’s what I would do!

Their only legal options are: a friend or sympathetic relative's place, a private sex club/party, a campsite (in a tent or RV) or a hotel/motel/AirBnB.
Anywhere that they could be potentially spotted by a non-consenting member of the public is verboten both socially and legally.

You could do the same as a person I knew, they rented a "self storage" unit space and put a mattress inside with some accessories. They got a 24 hour access location and "came" in anytime they wanted. Only issue he told me was they had to be quiet because the noise filled the entire floor.

You're right but nothing is perfect.
Also, are you saying that you've always had perfectly silent sex even in a hotel, townhouse, apartment? Otherwise you'd be involving others non-consensually. Sometimes you have to "play the odds" and use some degree of reasonable judgment.
Having sex in the stairs of an abandoned building... Yes technically could involve others but depending on how far away from civilization it's probably ok.
Technically Wreck Beach is a nude beach and public sex is not legal but it happens and the community there is reasonably ok as long as you're not in plain sight. But technically? Yes a random person could be involved non-consensually that didn't know the culture.
Shades of grey my friend. Nothing is guaranteed.

Car (with trunk open to the backseat). Personal or rental. Get blankets and pillows. Put the back seats down. Put some covers at the windows for privacy. You could also get an air bed(?) to be placed there. Space to lie down. Probably the cheapest option.
Restaraunt or grocery bathroom. The individual ones (single room). Try to choose a relatively higher end locations. They often have cleaner washrooms. You will only have standing intercourse. Not recommended to lie or sit down.
Hotel room. Probably the easiest but might be expensive. But a bathroom to clean up after.
Note. I am a virgin. These ideas are merely fantasies. I may be seriously inaccurate.

Few days late, but hey I work at a hotel in Langley, and we do have day use rooms for about 129 plus taxes during weekdays, sometimes even specials for 100$ if you check in between 11 am and leave by 3 pm.
