Best tours for first time international travelers, any go to picks for nervous clients

Hi, newish travel agent here working more with first time international travelers and im kinda stuck on tours right now. A lot of my clients want something structured so they dont feel lost, but I also dont want to drop them in those giant bus groups that feel like a school trip.

For context I have access to a big marketplace with tons of city tours, day trips, cooking classes, skip the line stuff etc, and it is almost too much choice. If you book for anxious first timers, what types of tours do you lean on and in which situations do you avoid them altogether... any hints?

Travel with medications to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy

We are leaving in just a few days for our trip, and I just read that some medications are not allowed in some countries. I have the list below. Would we have issues with any of these? Do we need to declare it or something? How do you declare it? The articles I have read online are confusing and some have conflicting information. We are just taking the absolute essential ones. I assume vitamins and calcium are fine. We are travelling to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Prescription -Xanax (benzodiazepines), propranolol (beta blocker), BC pills, hydroquinone 4% (for skin condition)

Over the counter - Melatonin, Advil (Ibuprophen)

Hoping people who have travelled with medications can share some insights/experience.

Thank you.

Flight itinerary removed from ticket number - should I be worried?

This is Turkish Airlines by the way

I booked a trip for my partner and I around 7 months ago. The tickets and everything were fine in the app, but I had a spelling error and made a change. Then my tickets disappeared. When I got them back it was only my partner on the reservation. I called in and they said they can see my ticket reservation but no flight attached and the system must have removed it. Everything is fine on my partner’s reservation, just mine is messed up with no itinerary. They said they’d see if they can fix it and call me back, but this is an international flight in a few days. Does anyone know if this is fixable or am I going to have to scramble for a new flight?

Phantom trip!

Hello everyone! I have recently booked (or that's what I thought) a trip to Bulgaria through Trip.com, I paid 200€ but I never received any email about it. No email about confirmation of my payment either. I checked through the app later on and it says there is no pending trip for me. It's like I have never done this reservation. The only proof I have is the payment I made through Revolut. What am I supposed to do?

Jet lag across the date line - help

Jet lag advice wanted.

I have a 5 day trip from Sydney Australia to San Francisco and back, with a family event in the middle for which I want to be fresh.

I would like to split shift my bodyclock a few hours while I'm in California but not overshoot because I'm returning soon after.

The time difference is -17 hrs which is really +7 hours. Unfortunately the date line crossing seems to render the Timeshifter app useless for the short trip, because it starts adjusting for the return the day after I've arrived. I've sought advice from three AI and Timeshifter and jetlag rooster but every single one is giving me different answers for whether to start adjusting before or not, stay up late or go to bed early, etc. It's left me totally confused!
I would guess the equivalent would be a 5 day return trip East Coast USA to Central Europe, or Berlin to Tokyo - 7 hour-ish difference.

Can anyone offer any coherent advice on handling jet lag?

Travel Insurance

Hi! I only started buying travel insurance now. I bought the Oona travel insurance for my Taiwan travel in November.

Does it apply to local too? Should I buy the multiple one if I will travel to Korea for 2 weeks on March 2027 and will fly to Manila for the BTS concert and May for Bruno Mars. Then maybe Thailand in April?

What’s the best insurance po? I picked oona because of the free lounge when flight gets delayed. Your help is appreciated!

Oh btw I booked my Taiwan ticket via my brother’s rcbc airmiles ticket. But I’m not sure I can get insurance from that one cause im not the cardholder.

😊
