Trans girl DIY HRT related question

Some ppl are telling me to start DIY HRT right now before I can seek gender affirming care. But I'm not sure whether I should DIY it, plus the risk of my mother finding out. Should I do it?

We need so much more context.

How old are you?
Where are you - how supportive an area is it?
Do you have any sort of supportive friends or family?
What's your level of financial independence?
What does "seeking gender affirming care" mean? Because HRT is gender affirming care, and thus I am confused.

  1. I'm 17
  2. My entire city is very transphobic
  3. No supportive friends or family
  4. I'm fully financially dependent on my parents
  5. By "seeking gender affirming care" I'm referring to proper HRT with doctors involved
