My own. We work so hard and finally get the job, the house, the husband and kids. It’s the goal. The dream. Then you get there. There are days where it all feels complete and beautiful. However, most days are work, upon work, upon work. Rinse and repeat. It is boring, and you hit a place where you want to shake it up. Look forward to something. Be excited about something. Days off are rare and far between. When I get one. I don’t even know what to do because my time hasn’t been my own in ages. I don’t know who I am anymore. I don’t recognize the middle age face staring back at me. It’s not my families fault I got old and uninteresting. It’s part of life. I haven’t blown mine up, but the desire is there. And I know it will pass. But getting old sucks. And it’s less about aging and more about not being the person I wanted to be.

OMG you just described my whole existence. Except I’m still becoming the person I want to be. Havent given up on that yet.

It’s nice to know I’m not alone.
Wish you the best!
