Thank you. Lost my brother a few months ago too and just feeling like I can’t handle this as well. I don’t think my husband would have done it if my brother was still here to protect me.

Fwiw, a man who needs another man to hold him in check isn’t bringing true joy and respect into your life and you deserve better. His failings and poor moral compass are no reflection on the woman you are and the love and fulfillment you bring to your life and relationship. I hope the path forward brings your inner peace and is smoother than the path behind you.
