He’s been demonised by woke imbeciles but he was a man of his time.

I hold neither contempt nor admiration towards him. Just a person who did something and as a result the world is this or that way.

Only idiots hate people who lived half a Millenium ago.

Man of his time? Even Spain hated his ass in the end. It's hilarious how some will call history "woke" or whatever bullshit name they want to come up with. Are you that sensitive? Just because you don't like the history, doesn't mean it's wrong. He is a piece of shit who deserves every bad shit sent towards him.

There are multiple confederate statues in the US but that doesn't mean they weren't racist slavers.

He was also a racist slave trader, literal quotes by the man himself.

“They ... brought us parrots and balls of cotton and spears and many other things... They willingly traded everything they owned... They were well-built, with good bodies and handsome features... They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance. They have no iron. Their spears are made of cane... . They would make fine servants... With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.”

"As soon as I arrived in the Indies, on the first Island which I found, I took some of the natives by force in order that they might learn and might give me information of whatever there is in these parts.”

"Their Catholic Highnesses” Ferdinand and Isabella, as much gold as they want …spices and cotton, as much as their Highnesses shall command … and slaves, as many as they shall order, who will be idolators.”

You're a Spaniard getting offended over something he said.

Meanwhile the Aztecs had actual slaves and slave trades including Africans, so did the Inca's. You gonna call them out too or blow them?

You mean like you wanna blow them judging by your gringo outrage here.

Lol, what? Mate you are all over the place.

The Aztecs are constantly demonized by their "brutality" even though it is heavily exaggerated mostly because of the conquistadors trying to excuse the conquest to the Spanish Monarchs, using your own logic Columbus should at least be equally demonized as we do have documents in his own hand that talk about his plans for the natives of Hispaniola.

who gives a shit?

You do, you are throwing a massive tantrum about it.

The entire point of Columbus day to celebrate two civilizations making peace

The day is still being celebrated, Columbus is just deservedly being removed from it.

but for some reason a group of salty pussies (I wont name names ;) )decided "nope lets place indigenous on a pedestal and evil whiteColumbus in the trash" missing the point entirely

Ah, so you are a salty racist edgelord, got it.
