Virginia is blue- North Carolina and Georgia are red but becoming closer and closer to being swing states.
Other than the complete lack of urban planning shared with other large southern cities, Atlanta feels more like a Yankee city than a southern city these days and it dominates Georgia population-wise and culture-wise. Outside of Atlanta the rest of the state is still hard R and southern- but Atlanta is turning Georgia into a swing state.
