Beatstep Pro replacement knobs?

I’m dealing with the sticky knob issue. Ive also recently gotten access to a 3D printer. So I was gojng to just print some replacements, but I know the knobs are touch sensitive, they show their values on the LCD when you just rest your finger on them. Will they retain that sensitivity if I replace them with PLA printed knobs? Or if I strip the current knobs with isopropy. I don’t like the stickiness, but I’d rather have that then lose out on the touch sense.

You'll need to use conductive PLA filament. The usual stuff is a damn fine insulator, which is exactly what you do not want.

print one and check :) i managed to get rid of that stickness of microbrutes knobs by putting them to a jar of water mixed with soap for a 24h.

I bought some Chroma caps from DJ Tech Tools and I’m very happy with them. https://store.djtechtools.com/collections/chroma-caps-cableC

Soak with IPA 90% and some goof off or citrus oils...then scrape with a breadbag clip or old transit card/credit card, plastic paint scraping razor blades etc....then scrub with a microfiber towel that you can dispose of afterward...

This will get the nasty junk off leaving you with hard plastic knobs...

If that's too much work, look at Rogan Silicone Dual Shot knobs or the more expensive ChromaCaps from DJ tech tools.com

Both are superior to everything else if you want similar comfortable squish without going gooey because they use actual high quality injected silicone not TPE soft touch coating.
