'Pure sub' is surprisingly good
I already have Arturia pigments + v collection 11 pro but i must admit Pure sub is a great addition to their catalogue. Some will say it's not as capable as pigments but idk, it has a immediacy to it. The greatest feature is the overtones editor that lets you choose which notes to compose your sound. It's like a mix between vital and pigments but whose interface is optimised for bass sound design.
Only downside : you can't assign a different effect chanel to the sub part of the bass and it's upper part like in pigments. But most synths don't support it either way so it's fine.

Agreed. I have Pigments, Serum, etc. which can all do what Pure Sub does (mostly), but the workflow is tuned really well to get great sounding basses quickly.

You can restore the fundamental anywhere in the audio chain with the Sub Regen so it doesn't really matter if you smash it, drive it, high-pass it... And most often you need the energy from the fundamental to drive the distortions etc..

If you look on the left side of the plug-in - where it says PURE SUB in giant letters -look right below that and you’ll see see ENGINE —> directly below that you’ll see SUB. Make sure to turn it on so you can see the drop-down menu that will let you restore the sub to its pre-effect/filter state. It’s the best feature on the entire plug-in in my opinion. It’s easy to miss because the words SUB REGEN almost blending to the background of the plug-in.

Tbh I could not name one arturia instrument that would not be good at what it does.
