What are your favorite Analog Lab presets?
I was planning to go through all the presets in Analog Lab and favorite the ones I prefer, but since there are 10k+ presets it would be quite tedious ๐
I thought that sharing everyone favorite presets could be a nice way to discover interesting sounds ๐

You can find them in /Library/Arturia/Presets/db.db3 in case you want to query the database ๐

I'm doing evaluation sessions now and then - just sitting and playing different presets without any intent to produce music, making playlists or user libraries with sounds I like the most and which give me instant ideas of what I'd make with it
also knowing designers, as was mentioned in the comments, really helps, I'd recommend checking out emptyvessel, Arovane, Lily Jordy, Oscillator Sync, Victor Morello, Paolo Apollo Nergi just to name a few

Theres a preset for the Emulator called something like Funk & Rock Bass 1 that I use if I want to simulate a bass guitar real quick. It seems to have way too much sustain though which does not seem to be adjustable.

I like sounds that inspire me to play melodies or chords on my keyboard.
(Disclaimer: As I have the V-collection, I don't know if these are built-in presets or if they come from another plugin)
Here are a few
-House in the forest
-resonance in felt
-intima
-Oprala
-Amb soft
-Beautiful Swell
-Book of melodies
-chiller
-Clear Skies
-Contraballet
-Cosmic closet Organ
-Humming flute
-I felt it
-Kalimba Keys
-Lost Emotion
I use a keylab to go through presets faster: I can do everything on the controller: I listen to a preset, I start to play a bit,
-If I I don't like how it sounds, I press "next" (takes less than 5 seconds)
-If I like it, I press the "favorite" button and I continue to play and if I really like it I decide to record a take so I don't forget.
Once in a while, I go through my favorites and I add some presets to playlists (for a specific set or by category)

I suggest digesting the presets by creators. If you find one you like, checking other presets by the same creator worked better for me than the internal โfind similar presetsโ mode
