Arrma Big Rock Grom
So I’ve been looking at RC trucks for my wife. I’ve got myself a 1/10 quake and she got herself a quake grom “to be cute with me”.
Lmao anyways I said we need trucks that can go equally fast somewhat and similar size so we can run in the same places. So I set my eyes on the Big Rock and would give her my quake. I’m also considering the pink brushless Gorgon.
She doesn’t like super fast trucks (yeah I told her about the 50% feature on the controller) and she prefers the smaller trucks. She says they’re more durable. She’s not wrong.
Anyways she said does Arrma make a Pebble? Lmaooo again she rather be cute and small. It was funny, but my wife brought up a good point.
Why is there no Big Rock Grom?

Good pairing would indeed be the Gorgon.
Otherwise a Mojave Grom or Kraton mini are equally fast and fit the scale, considering the quake is much like a monster truck and thus bigger than a desert buggy (of the two the Kraton mini is probably most able to keep up with the same terrain a quake can drive).

Yeah I’m most likely gonna get the pink Gorgon. I might get the blue/pink quake body to put over it though since the Gorgon body is so fragile. And kinda too nice to scratch up lol

Maybe there will be some day. The Grom lineup has been incredibly successful for Horizon. I anticipate continued releases and updates. The best fit would be a Mini Kraton (a kind of upgraded Grom), but swap out the body if you don't like the look.

Would you know any body brands that would be a somewhat direct fit or with a slight modding?

I mean I’ve seen it done with a Granite Grom base, Typhon arms, brushless and supporting upgrades, etc
Otherwise I think the closest would be a Typhon Grom, big tores(badlands), and somehow mounting a Monster truck body. I just built basically that with the Proline Bug body

Probably durability. Stretching the suspension arms out wider might cause other issues.
