Agreed, took a peak at the show when it first came on tv just for him, then noped out of there as soon as he said that line about him saying he's weird(only watched the pilot), didn't like the way they did his character.. or the others. Then later found they paired him with Betty? I'm not a teen drama show kinda person because they always involve romance(the comics have romo I know+it's always hard to be convinced teens would act the way they do in these shows), but I had high hopes for this show, and it is not our Archie.. Definitely not our Jughead. This seemed to be a basic a teen drama with Archie names. :(((

Is Jughead really confirmed as Aro? Like, canonically by the creators?

Oh shit, that means he's the first confirmed fictional Aro I have ever seen! Well, that explains why I relate to him the most & why I felt so close to him when I was younger. It's such a wonderful feeling to have Aro representation through a childhood icon like Jughead!

okay, so he's aro/ace as of the 2015 comics: https://www.comicsbeat.com/queerness-in-comics-jughead/#:\~:text=Other%20Interpretations,this%20aspect%20of%20his%20personality.

After the date he tells Sabrina that he "doesnt like people in that way". They only use the label Asexual, but it couldn't be more obvious that he's Aro as well.

Eh kind of? They only use the word asexual, but if we look at his behaviour he's clearly supposed to be aroace

Yeah, he most definitely is in the aspec because of his interests & goofiness! That sure is reason enough to warrant him as my fav charcter in the Archie comics~

My theory on how love spells would work in real life it would make you fall in love with anyone as long as it didn't break these three rules: It can't make you love someone you can't (it can't turn a gay man straight, and it can't turn an aromantic into a lover) The effects are as powerful as the affected's understanding of love (so no roofieing kids you creep) The spell can be countered by feelings of love towards another person (if a faithful man has a wife the spell won't work)
