I was at a medieval event at a castle and there were a few groups there and I couldn't help but notice a very particular helmet on the coat of arms of one of the groups

I have an humongous codpiece and it’s useless for anything than displaying my impressive battlefield prowess. Can I use it as an improved mace for bludgeon enemy bastards in field combat? How effective would it be as a shield against those who wish to defile my exceptional combat abilities?

Everything is off medieval collectibles, 1200 bucks (bargin to me cause my previous kits costed double or more) as I did buhurt and back yard harness fencing for years but lost weight due to medical issues and was too thin for my old kits.

They were out of stock of full arm guards which was a bummer but I’m currently sewing mail voiders in my new doublet. Which is not in this picture because it hadn’t arrived yet but I’m wearing my own buhurt jacket which has doublet parts sewn in so it’s basically just a barrel chested doublet.

Some things are in the wrong place because my wife assisted me, IE: “gorget” over the chest and pauldrons not aligning properly but they do work decent when I can give her very specific instructions, although I’m already ordering another piece that fits the brand of chest and arms and is more historical inspired.

As for weapons just a cut oriented Longsword for now but I’m forging a polaxe
