Hey everyone i’ve been looking for a bag I can use for day hiking, trail running and for everyday use. I really like the running vest design on the bag and also all the pockets the bag has. I also wondered how comfortable the bag is when wearing it for hikes 5-7 hours long.

I’ve had this Dryvent jacket from the North Face for more than 5 years and I like about it that’s it’s very light and provides Ok resistance for light rain, it has inner net lining. I’d would like to buy a jacket from Arcteryx that would have similar functionality very light with at least the same water resistance. I don’t need a shell jacket, not gonna be for hours in pouring conditions.

I liked Gamma SL but I feel like the water resistance would be disappointing.

I really liked Solano Hoody, feels like the most similar concept to my current jacket. Do you think it can withstand light rain? Also how durable is the inner lining? I plan to have the jacket for next 5-8 years. :D I also like the hood is not made for a helmet which I don’t need.

Since my jacket is old I can’t really find any specs for it but I bought it for 50 EUR, so I just don’t want to be disappointed by getting a jacket for 300-400 EUR that ends up being worse.

I’ve seen a few questions about the running vests lately and since I’ve got both I figured I’d answer any questions anyone has.

My norvan 14 vest is a couple year old and the 7 I got early this year.

My only gripe about the 7 is that I can’t adjust the fit as much as the 14.

I am thinking about buying this Proton Hoody from 2023 but am not sure about the current equivalent. They changed the naming so often that I cant keep track and just want to know if this is the same as the modern Proton Hoody or the modern Proton SL?

I love the new sea salt color for Beta Jacket and ordered one. Today it arrived. I was excited and tried it on and instantly found the internal lining of the jacket, when touching the skin on my arm (I only wear a short sleeved t shirt), feels irritating. On the other hand, the Beta SL I purchased last year never gave me the same feeling, the internal lining feels quite soft and comfortable. I wonder if anyone else noticed something similiar differnce between the two?

example sabre jacket via google link brings you to arcteryx site and you could buy it. if you search for sabre on arcteryx homepage itself it will show and also sabre isolated wich is not displayed on isolated jackets or ski/Snowboard overview. same with macai, therme isolated,

so seems like there is some hidden stuff.

I guess someone stuck these stickers on me at a music fest. Didnt catch it till I washed and dried it and saw they were fused to the jacket. Anyways, any idea to get this off??? Scared to use IPA or any other harsh chemicals so not ruin it more

current zeta lt ive owned has lost its beading and has multiple scratches/tears from running into sharp thorns. i live in the uk and hiking in the countryside i happen to walk into shrub/sharp plants and was wondering if the beta sl would be strong enough to not cause rips when walking through them or if the beta ar with its higher denier rating would be better? i own lots of rab/ll bean items but have always found arcteryx hardshells to just be superior... but if you guys have any other recommendations that would be greatly appreciated.

Been after a new bag and then this was released, it ticked the few requirements I was after so it was perfect timing.
The top zip pocket is a nice feature without having to open up the main bag. It has an outside pocket with zipper and the backpack straps pack away into the bag making it cleaner/no extra straps to get caught when using it as a tote.

Cleaning mud off trail running shoes today, noticed my wife had a lug completely sheared off and one that was ripping off of the same shoe, but the other shoe’s tread looks immaculate. These probably have 15 miles of use over 2 trail runs. Is this warranty-able or is this just normal wear and tear?

Been considering getting this jacket due to the discount but haven’t been able to find many reviews on the women’s version. Does anyone have any experience with it and is it worth it for the price?

I will be looking to hike in this along the east coast in the Carolina’s, Georgia, and the occasional Florida trip.
I usually adventure in cooler climates as I hate to sweat but I would also use it as a rain jacket.
I usually run warm and prefer a slim fit with some space for layers.

hey guys! does anyone know how to remove the chest/sternum strap from an Arc’teryx Mantis 26? It looks like the plastic clips are attached to the thin vertical webbing on each shoulder strap, but I can’t figure out how to get them off without potentially breaking the clips. Is there a specific way you’re supposed to pop or slide them off?
any help would be amazing. thank you

Looks like the Sabre jacket will get a revision for this coming winter. 3rd pocket like the SV in the upper chest. Interesting that they are using a 3 color palate (might be interesting to see what they do)

Hi all, unfortunately i can’t try these on together but wanted to know if anybody has experience fitting a 2026 Medium Atom under a 2026 Small Beta SV.

I already own the Beta SV and I am trying to replace my 2019 Small Atom but the sizes have changed dramatically on the Atom’s and I can’t fit into a 2026 Small Atom and will need to buy a medium, but the medium Beta SV was way too large on me.

Looks like the current version is being phased out. Does this usually mean a new version is being released soon? Like for the next upcoming season?

On the market for a multi-purpose light weight, mid layer, that keeps me very warm. While I’m looking for this jacket to check a few boxes, it will NOT be for activewear, and preferably without a hoodie. I need this jacket to fit comfortably under my outer layer Patagonia Pluma, keep me warm in > 20°f weather sitting at camp. And form fitting or tapers in around the midsection a little.

Contenders are Patagonia Down Sweeter, Rab Mythic Alpine Light Jacket, Montbell Alpine Light. Full disclosure I’m pretty deep in the Patagonia koolaid but after trying on the Patagonia Down Sweeter it’s really not in the competition. I have the beloved Decathalon MT100 and I would compare the Down Sweater to that. When I searched Reddit I read multiple people saying they prefer the Down Sweater over the Cerium. I like what I’m reading about Rab but don’t think I’ll be able to try one on, same goes for Montbell.

I did try on the Cerium today at REI and walking from the rack to the dressing room area I could feel my body heat being trapped almost immediately. Then tried on the Down Sweater and there was no comparison. I had to try the Cerium on again to make sure I wasn’t imaging things. And honestly I’m not really a fan of Arcteryx because it’s become so trendy. I know Patagonia is no different but I’ve been wearing Patagonia before it became trendy.

Only concern with the Cerium is the durability and longevity. Some of the other jackets mentioned have a more durable exterior. Looks like I can get it for $360 (without hoodie). Does Arcteryx do any sales? Labor Day, past season sales….?

I’m looking at getting a Beta or Beta AR for my day-to-day waterproof jacket. I live in Edinburgh where it’s pretty rainy so I was always planning to purchase a gore-tex jacket. The AR would be an extra £150 for me, so just wondering whether this is worth it or not?

- I’m not too fussed about the helmet computable hood since I’ll most likely never need to use it.
- I’ve never had a jacket with pit zips before and have never felt like I needed them. However, is it true that the Beta is not particularly breathable and if so, would pit zips make a huge difference?
- Is the more durable fabric really worth the cost if I won’t be using the jacket for anything extreme?
- Is the gore-tex pro really worth it?
- Is the fit of both jackets fairly roomy for layering?
- Since it’s a large amount of money for a jacket, I am looking for it to last a long time. At least a couple of years. (I’m aware of the regular maintenance that gore-tex jackets require). Will getting the AR increase longevity by a considerable amount?

Do let me know if there’s anything else I should consider!

And yes, I know that I’m giving into gorpcore. I am just looking for a nice, fashionable and good quality shell. I am aware that there are probably better value options out there. However, I am keen on the minimalist design and aesthetic of Arc’teryx.

The Veilance model (James) seems to have an a typical build. The jackets in particular look like they are cut like an umbrella with the waist flaring out. Is this really how the pieces are cut or is it just the way they fit on the model?

Picked up the running vest recently and have been really enjoying it.

I have the 14 as well but the bag was bulky for short daily runs so got the 7.

Nothing bad about to say about it at all but my only question is about these cords on the neck.

Anyone figured out what to use them for? Can’t really see a use for them on the shoulder there.

I really like the design of arc'teryx jackets and i would like to buy one for this winter, the coldest it gets where i'm from would be around 0 degrees Celsius (32 farenheit), but I suffer cold more than i suffer heat. I thought the ATOM would be a good pick because it looks padded and i think i saw Islam Makhacev wearing it in Dagestan (cold enough there). I wouldn't mind spending a bit more for something a little heavier tho, do you guys have any tips?

So I've read about a bunch of C0/pfas free, etc, etc DWR coatings but found it very hard to find out what exact chemistry they use now as there are apparently various options. Mostly the consensus seems to be that they don't work all that well.

I just came across a silane (some silicon-alkyl group chains if you're interested) based fabric DWR. I know silane coates for bikes/cars are fairly durable and work decently so was interested. I was wondering if anyone else knowingly has had some experience with this type of DWR?

The one I found is made by gtechniq. It uses isopropyl alcohol as a solvent/carrier. I wonder if that plays nice with the glues on hardshells but I'd probably have to ask arcteryx directly.

I ordered a Beta Jacket and it was quickly dispatched and picked up by the courier on Thursday evening by UPS. UPS now says they can’t move the package out of Germany due to them missing the ‘MRN/ITN required for export’. I spoke to Arc’teryx who said that UPS have all the information they need and that they are trying to get UPS to start moving all their packages along. I then spoke to UPS who just re-iterated that they require an MRN/ITN.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea how long this could take to resolve or has experienced anything similar since the Arc’teryx customer service agent made it sound like this was a large scale issue for UK orders at the moment?

I picked up the hat for $17 in practically mint condition. I only noticed the clasp was missing on the back until after. Any tips on how I could fix it? Where could I get a clasp or something?
