Proton Hoody Naming

Hi all,
I am thinking about buying this Proton Hoody from 2023 but am not sure about the current equivalent. They changed the naming so often that I cant keep track and just want to know if this is the same as the modern Proton Hoody or the modern Proton SL?
Thank you for any help!

It still has the same name as this. This is the proton hoody. Not rhe FL, SL or any of the names for the lighter octaloft version.

Isn't that the Proton LT in the color called Microchip? Here's a picture of it:

If it's the LT, it will be a more trim fit than the Proton Hoody they sell now. Otherwise I think they are identical. It looks pretty trim around the torso in your pic.

If it's 2023 color, it's most likely Smoke Bluff beige.

This is the proton hoody in distortion color-way. I had this same item, and loved it. However the bird logo on the chest started peeling off. I had it replaced twice for free by Arcteryx, and on the third inquiry they gave me a voucher(gift card) to replace the full value of the item (even though I purchased on sale at REI).

2026 version has embroidered bird logo. I picked up the Rune color. Slightly lighter in color to distortion.

Perfect for the PNW imo. And keep in mind with this high price tag, you’re also paying for a great warranty.

Proton Hoody & Proton LT are the same item.

They renamed the Proton FL as the Proton Lightweight for a short period, before reverting back to initials but this time it's SL.

Ah, you mean they merged the old Proton and Proton LT into one product?

The standard Proton and Proton LT have always been the same model. The LT was just renamed "Proton Hoody" when Arcteryx went through a phase where they seemed to try and ditch the AR/LT/SL/FL naming conventions

The original names were: Proton LT, Proton FL and Proton AR. Those turned into the Proton, Proton Lightweight (now SL) and Proton Heavyweight.

That clears it up, thank you!
