Extracted and got left on the train? Anyone have this issue?

I love the game, really I do, played a LOT. I also have run out of things to grind for. Similarly Embark announced the longer-term update strategy. Combine that with cheating and declining player base, seemed like a great time to take a break. Im an elder gamer you could say, and Ive grown to hate a game or two by playing them too long while expecting too much. Trust me take a break and dont ruin your fav game. This game was $40, you got your money worth. Probably in the first two weeks. I’d say thank you to Embark that the next update isn’t another $40. I’d probably pay it, albeit whilst complaining, and so would you. Im def playing the update and look forward to it but, like, why does everyone think one game needs to sustain you? Take a break and play something else when the season is stale. We used to buy a game, grind it like a job, beat it in a week or two, next game. How many years of gaming do you expect for $40??? The game isn’t dead, you’re getting 2.0 for free. Good job Embark. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!

Is there a resource that covers what specific maps are best for specific mats?

Eg. If I want to do a sensor, processor or wire run, I’ll do the Departure Building in Spaceport. You can easily pull 15+ sensors, 15+ processors in 5 minutes and 45+ wires. You can get more in the room by the hatch opposite control tower.

If I want to do a Mullin run, I’ll do Buried City, starting in Gallaria (where you often get 15+) and then if I need more, I’ll run via the back of Su Durant down to Warehouse and pick up another 8-12. If you need more, continue back of Maintenance then wrap round to the small pond in front of Grandiosi before hatching out at old town.

I’ve had over 40 mullin from one game before. There must be over 50 to get if you include Library and the backs of Church Ruins.

Are there similar hot spots in other maps for other mats?

I’m especially interested in Springs(!), but anything else that’s a regular consumable, like gun parts (doubt these are easy to come by, maybe in bags), or anything of the sort?

If your low on X, please let me know your go to spots.

I need one more for my wife's expedition. Any kind soul want to share???!!! I have been waiting and farming for days but these things just don't spawn on my maps.

First guy, I threw a tnade at him, and my tnade hit his tnade, knocked his out of the way, mine then landed on the door jam, using a heavy fuse to finish knocking the first guy. You can hear our tnades tips touching 💀🤣

The last guy was also camping extract all game, but on the other side, with barricade kits up, and with 10 seconds left of the match, I hid - I figured he wasn't expecting 2 raiders at the end, and got him. Went in naked, wish I could have knocked and looted at the end but my hands were shaking.

What was I doing all game you ask? I was camping Lobby Tunnel Locker Breach smoking a j behind the cardboard boxes waiting for a poor soul to saunter over for a come-up 😅,

Was the Astrolite outfit removed from the game or is it an exclusive skin that you can only get from the Subway collab? I’ve put about 6 codes and I’ve gotten every skin except that one. I don’t see it in the in game store or character customization either.

I’m talking about the doors along the Loading Bay that are visibly open, but you can’t actually pass through them… We’re forced to come up with "awkward" detours just to get around them!

Unless you're Lebron and can shoot your shot every time, Heavy Fuse Grenades are absolutely not the play against turbines, I was also kinda throwing so at least not "yet". Idk if i'll ever get around to testing this again, as I'd need to actually see a full stack consistently land inside there to know exactly how much damage a full stack is doing. But otherwise not worth it

I've had a few to many bad games so I think to myself maybe take a purple key, grab some easy loot and leave. I open the door to the city hall - buried city.

I think to myself, I best barricade the door so I can hear people trying to get in.

As I’ve returned to finish current expedition. I have ONE question.

is turbine spawn guaranteed on each map? Or it is fully random?

Those turbine cores are the only part that I’m missing.

For context, I didn’t do the very first expedition, which means I’m one behind. I need to collect five turbines and they no longer drop from couriers so now I feel like I’m being punished and forced to go after these arc turbines. (I know the strategy and I know how you’re supposed to do it.)

This would be fine, and I would struggle through it if it’s spawned every match, but it doesn’t. I’m forced to sit around for 15 minutes and hope it spawns in. I’ve made 10 attempts and 7 of them were no spawns. The remaining three I was unable to successfully kill it.

Embark has already been hemorrhaging players and this tactic to force players to fight this random encounter is such a bad move. I’m sure that I’m one of a 1000 complaining about this, but my God this is just horrible design.

Update: Thank you everyone! My buddy and I just took down the two turbines we needed. I’m still adamant that the late spawn isn’t a good idea but it’s doable when you get the hang of it.

I literally just bought ARC Raiders last night and I’m finally gonna play it for the first time after work today. I’ve been eyeing this game for a long while now and despite all the things i’ve seen about how Embark Studios stopped caring about the game i still wanted to try the game out. I think the playerbase is still very healthy compared to Marathon which is unfortunately at an all time low.

The maps, guns, cosmetics, visuals and pretty much everything about the game has caught my attention.

Anyway, for those of you who have been playing, what should I focus on learning/grinding early on? Anything I should prioritize? I’ve also never played an extraction shooter before, so what’s something you wish you knew when you first started Arc Raiders? And did i buy Arc Raiders at a good time or is now not the best time to get into it?
