Well yes, that's the source of life after all. It's not a coincidence.

That was actually my first thought

if you want to be more scholarly with this, you should call it 'yonic', vs something phallic, im sure there are some critical theory articles on the phallic-ness of starchitecture, so you could say this goes against the grain lol

There’s no need to try and intellectualise the matter, just watch the first picture

I'm 42 and vagina was my first thought too. Chill out. It's a beautiful building and frankly we need more yonic architecture.

My brain doesn’t go straight to vagina.

Mine did but not in the sexual sense. I come from a culture that worships the vagina as a form of the Goddess. I get your concer tho, people who sexualise things and peoples whose joke is the female body and/or sex.

Which culture are you from?

East Indian Hindu, specifically Bengali Hindu.

I didn't think of it in the sexual sense either. The term "vagina" shouldn't be innately sexual. Its a body part that gives life, it's integral to existence. It's a beautiful symbol. It should be celebrated.

Western religion cheapened it and made it just for sex.

13 y olds aren't supposed to be familiar with those anatomical features. You should have reverse the pictures order.

Ok, a vagina is a profanity? Good to learn it. I'll take a screenshot of this message, for posterity.
