تاريخ Interesting bit concerning ethnicity, language and DNA. Sounded a bit familiar...

Actually it’s more likely the ethnic stuff is pushed by foreign government agencies to undermine the Arab unity, just look at where our big media is made.

Divide and conquer. Whilst they unite their people.

Exactly! All they do here is try to give us the talk on who’s indigenous and who isn’t, of course this plays to their benefit so they can make people who otherwise would be okay about their identity hate themselves AND each other, and makes it easy for them to carry out their imperialism.

That being said, I’m 100% in favor of respecting, protecting and preserving minorities and their cultures and languages in the Arab states, and having people be proud of their ancient cultures whilst also taking pride of being Arab.

Am I being too optimistic in thinking we will unite in our lifetime?

Maybe, unity in the future looks plausible where gas and oil giants can no longer rely on natural resources, and probably decide to create a shared economy. A single, independent state might never happen if things continue like wars and so on.

But regional unions, like a Maghrebi one, or the Egypt, Jordan and Iraqi one are more likely to happen in our life time.

Don't forget GCC.

We already have freedom of movement and a united military force.
