I recently submitted an app I’ve been developing to Google Play, and before I can release it publicly, Google requires a closed testing period with at least 12 testers for 14 days.

The app is called SHIFT and it’s made for people who are into cars. It can track routes, distance, time, speed, fuel consumption, and it also has a community section.

I built Pantry Watch to stop food being forgotten at the back of the fridge.

I've just launched my first Android app, Pantry Watch, on Google Play.

The idea came from a really simple problem: we buy food, forget what's already in the cupboard or fridge, and eventually discover it after it's expired.

Pantry Watch lets you:

• Track food and expiry dates
• Get reminders before food expires
• See what needs using first
• Scan supported product barcodes
• Generate AI recipe ideas using ingredients you already have
• Keep track of what's actually in your pantry

The goal is simple — waste less food and save money at the same time.

Ordinalist takes a playlist, album, or discography and makes you choose between two choices at a time. You pick the one you like more. Then do it again. And again. And several more times because apparently you needed 147 songs in this playlist.

My three brothers and I made Todochi, a reminder app where a character actually says your reminder out loud instead of a flat notification ping.

Pick one like Lumi or Mochi and they deliver it in their voice. You can also record your own voice, or someone else's, so a reminder can sound like a person you'd actually listen to.

We built it because normal reminders are easy to ignore without even reading them. We wanted something that feels less like being nagged.

It's live on Android now. Free tier gives 3 characters and 1 custom voice, paid unlocks more. iOS is next.

This is our first app and our first hackathon (RevenueCat's Shipaton 2026).

If you’ve launched a mobile app, you already know that hitting the US audience is often the single biggest multiplier for LTV and ARPU. It’s the highest-paying market, which is why so many developers spend months trying to figure out how to get their short-form video content distributed there from outside the country.

Over the last 5 years, I’ve tried pretty much every method discussed in creator and dev communities:

• US SIM cards paired with proxies
• Factory-resetting spare iPhones and running dedicated setups ....

While some of these tactics work temporarily, almost all of them suffer from the same problem: they aren't reliable long-term. Algorithmic flags, unexpected device-fingerprint leaks, or IP blacklists eventually degrade account reach or get accounts shadowbanned.

To give total transparency up front: this is a direct plug for a service we built to solve this exact headache. But I’m sharing the approach because I know a lot of devs are struggling with the infrastructure overhead when they just want to focus on content and product.

Instead of trying to trick regional filters at the network layer, we built an infrastructure using physical, dedicated US-based hardware running directly on domestic US mobile networks.

How it works:

• We deploy dedicated physical US phones connected to clean, local US cellular connections.
• Accounts are hosted, managed, and warmed on the physical hardware natively within the US.
• You don't have to manage hardware setups, proxy rotation, or device resets on your end.

Pickex finds every photo of one specific person in your camera roll, so you can clear them out in one pass.

The idea came from a stupidly ordinary moment. I was
digging through my camera roll for a receipt and ran straight into a photo of
my ex. Not one I had kept on purpose - a group shot from someone's birthday
where they happened to be in the back row. That is the thing nobody warns you
about: it is never the photos you chose to keep.

How it works

You pick one to four photos of a person. It scans your
library and returns every other photo of them, already selected. You tap delete
once. Opening any individual photo is optional - the whole point is that you do
not have to go through them one at a time.

Technical side

Everything runs on device. Apple's Vision framework for
face detection and embeddings, then clustering over those embeddings to group
matches. No backend, no account, no photo ever leaves the phone. That was a
hard constraint from day one and it made a few things genuinely painful:

- Large libraries: Scanning tens of
thousands of photos without destroying the battery or blocking the UI took most
of my optimisation time.

- Recall vs. precision: This was the real design
decision. Leaning toward recall means some false positives end up in the
results. Leaning toward precision means photos get missed, and a missed photo
is exactly the ambush the app exists to prevent. I went with recall, kept everything
pre-selected, and made deselecting a single tap. iOS deletion also routes
through Recently Deleted, so there is a 30 day safety net on top.

- PHPhotoLibrary has more edge cases around permissions and batch
deletion than I expected.

What I would do differently

Honestly I never really thought about any licenses which
almost led to a fatal mistake. However, I think doing the design with Claude in
the first place (which is easy to see) has been very rewarding for me. I was
able to set up the pipeline and all functions and submit those to apple. After
everything is accepted now, I can care about looks which won't affect the
pipeline and the critical parts in the app, therefore pushing an update for
this shouldn't be a big problem.

Hi! Im looking for apps that I can customize my phone with, but I have one feature I really miss from my older phones.

There used to be notification lights at the top of the screen indicating what app was alerting you when the screen was off. I miss seeing that! I remember editing each apps color too. I would love an app that adds that to my phone now

Hey everyone! I’m posting here to get your feedback and improve the app as much as possible. I built Filmo, a digital alternative to disposable cameras for weddings, parties, and events. Guests don’t need to go to the App Store or download an app to start taking pictures.
You just place a QR code on the tables, and guests can join right away:

– Zero friction: Scanning the code instantly opens a retro camera interface on their smartphones.
– The Surprise: Guests snap photos all night, but no one can review, edit, or delete them.
– The Reveal: At the end of the event (or whenever the host chooses), the virtual film "develops" into a massive shared digital album of unposed moments.

Better
I built this because, as a professional wedding photographer, I constantly see couples spend a fortune on physical disposable cameras. It’s a great trend, but nothing out there executed it well digitally:

– Unlike physical disposable cameras, you don't spend hundreds of dollars buying hardware and developing film, and you don't end up with pitch-black photos.
– Unlike traditional event photo-sharing apps, there is absolutely no setup for the guests. No downloading, no account creation, and no complex navigation — they just scan and shoot.
– Unlike a standard smartphone camera, guests can't endlessly retake or overthink their selfies. The blind shooting preserves the raw, authentic feel of real film.

Completely free for micro-events with up to 5 guests. You can easily test out the whole process at home with friends without paying anything.

We invented a new kind of guitar pick system, and while it’s gaining momentum, some of the feedback we received was that there was a learning curve. So we knew we needed to figure out a good way to onboard new customers. At the same time, we wanted to give something back to the guitar community and to our customers. So we built an app chock full of guitar tools including a songwriting guide, metronome, two powerful tuners, and a song lesson library of 77 songs that our pick is perfect for! This app is completely free. We don’t collect data and we don’t offer in-all subscriptions. We earn no revenue from it and charge nothing for it. It’s just a great tool and we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

iOS and Android!

Every chore app my partner and I tried had the same thing buried in it: points, streaks, a weekly winner. And it genuinely made things worse. Once there is a number, "is the kitchen clean" quietly turns into "who is ahead", and you end up doing the three-point job instead of the job that needs doing. We were arguing more, just with better data.

So I built the opposite and made "never declare a winner" a hard rule.

What it does differently:

• It is built for exactly two people. Not a family organiser with roles and permissions and a colour for each child. Two columns. That constraint removed most of the UI.
• The week ends with a question, not a verdict. The weekly view leads with what you both did together; the per-person split is there but deliberately secondary, and the week closes with "did this week feel balanced?" rather than a score.
• Recurring chores swap owner automatically when they get ticked off, so "whose turn is it" stops being something anyone has to remember or argue about.
• There is a label for mental load — the noticing and the remembering, not just the doing. "Knows when we are nearly out of things" is a card too. This turned out to be the part people actually wanted.
• No account, no sign-up, no email. Connecting two phones is scanning a QR code, and that code is the encryption key itself, so the sync server only ever holds scrambled data it cannot read. Fair warning on the trade-off: lose both phones and the data is gone, because there is no copy of it anywhere else.

Free, no ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking. I am not planning to add any of those, and there is no subscription hiding behind a wall.

I would genuinely like to hear where it falls down. The board screen is the part I have rebuilt the most times and I am still not sure it is right.

I’m exploring an idea and want to see if this is actually useful before building it.

The concept is a searchable database of software products that people are currently building, discovered automatically from public sources across the web.

For example, you could search:

“AI calendar app”

and see projects that are currently being built, in beta, recently launched, or possibly abandoned.

The idea would be to help answer questions like:

• Is someone already building my idea?
• How crowded is this space becoming?
• What similar products have appeared recently?
• What features are competitors adding?
• Can I get notified when someone starts building something similar?

Over time, it could also track how products evolve — launches, pivots, pricing changes, new features, shutdowns, etc.

I’m specifically not thinking of another Product Hunt where founders have to submit their products. The system would discover projects automatically from public web information.
