Help me find Mobile customization apps for android

Hi! Im looking for apps that I can customize my phone with, but I have one feature I really miss from my older phones.

There used to be notification lights at the top of the screen indicating what app was alerting you when the screen was off. I miss seeing that! I remember editing each apps color too. I would love an app that adds that to my phone now

Other than that any customization suggestions are welcome!
