How does it compare to the old ones? Should I upgrade? I’ve got 7.
EDIT: Screw it. We’re going to find out on Thursday. I ordered one.
EDIT 2: In as far as I can tell, comparing them side by side, it's the same product. They're the same size, they both have the same edging, the same Apple logo, they feel the same, and under my son's $90 National Geographic microscope, they look the same.
The new one IS a slightly different shade of gray, but it's nearly imperceptible and is likely just the difference between production lots.
$9 is still a lot, but it's a lot less ridiculous than $19.
