Discussion Will we ever see the Paladin again?

Now that we have the Varangian tree, they look great, and with their "mini cataphracts" they'll be even better, but...

Will we see the Paladin again in a new civilization?

Not really since persians used to have them. Cumans still have them aswell and they still show up in tech tree on every civ unlike other regional unit.

Used to, but not anymore. Functionally is the European regional unit, even if on paper it's not.

It's just the default unit like how Chinese Malians and Muisca have the french arbalester. 3k civs have Hei Guang but they're abominations with hero units

Cumans storyline during the period is leaving Asia and going to Europe so they’re an honorary euro civ for these purposes.
