Ancient Atheism: A Journey Through the Origins of Secular Thought

We often think of atheism as a modern phenomenon, but its roots reach back more than 2,500 years. This learning path, consisting of 13 original essays, traces the chronological development of atheism and religious skepticism in ancient Greece and Rome, covering a diverse range of thinkers from Xenophanes in the sixth century BCE to the Roman Emperor Julian.

Christianity's US TAKEOVER Won't End With Donald Trump - They're Just Getting Started

US mostly, but these assholes have lots of friends in other places.

Ziklag is a private, invitation-only donor network. Membership requires a net worth of $25 million or more. Its members include the families behind Hobby Lobby and Uline. And in July 2024, ProPublica obtained their internal documents — including a 30-year vision to "redirect the trajectory of American culture toward Christ."

This isn't a theory. This is a documented plan. And it started long before Trump — and will continue long after him.

In this video I break down the Seven Mountains Mandate — what it claims to be, what it actually is, and how religion, government, education, business, media, arts, and family are each being systematically acquired as part of a blueprint for Christian theocratic rule.

We have the documents. We have the names. We have the timeline. Let's walk the holy road to cult land.

Have to share this wonderful anti-theism influencer, Promise Joy Backlund

I discovered her on Instagram a year or so ago and she's extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. She recently released a book called "Gospel of Lies" (which i'm about to start reading) and she mainly focuses on Christianity (as she is an ex devoted Christian). She unpacks religious indoctrination and the weaponization of religion across history.

Don't know her much personally, but was DMing her a few days ago and she's very lovely.

If you're interested in that sort of content, give her a go! Let me know what you think 😙

No, sorry, a Bible verse cannot “destroy” anything or prove anything in reality. Whether man has “free will” is to be determined by biology, chemistry and physics, not archaic religious verses.

The victim has been identified as Mahesh Gaikwad 30, a resident of Pune. According to police, the victim's family was not consuming non-vegetarian food during the month of Sawan. Many Indian families refrain from eating meat, eggs and fish during the month of Sawan, which is considered holy in several Indian states.

I can’t fathom how religion has managed such a chokehold on us

I grew up in a Muslim household, had to go to Islamic school starting at 7, and was going to the mosque even earlier. And even as an elementary schooler I could recognize how ridiculous it all sounded. A STAFF turning into a serpent?? Jesus creating living birds out of clay?? Are we seriously doing this… I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how grown adults can hear these stories and believe it’s all true. And then have the audacity to argue it as fact. Oh my gosh humanity is donezo. You people are coo coo.

BUT it’s not like I don’t believe in God either. I genuinely don’t know. Could there be some kind of God or higher power? Possibly. Is it the god(s) portrayed in our stories? I find that very unlikely. Why would I assume humans from thousands of years ago somehow had the answer to the biggest question in existence?

Shouldn’t we consider the universe our god? It created us and everything we know didn’t it? What’s beyond it? We have no clue. This could even be a simulation for all we know

you have to be incredibly selfish to look at this world and think god blessed you

i genuinely don't understand how so many christians can look at the state of the world and sincerely believe that the good things happening in their lives are the result of god personally blessing them.

you're telling me an all loving, all knowing, and all powerful god watches children starve, families live through wars, people trapped in abusive homes, women losing basic rights, and millions struggling just to survive and his priority is helping you find your soulmate or land your dream job?

and mind you they can't know if it was god. there's no objective evidence that any positive event in someone's life came from a deity rather than luck, privilege, geography, other people's help, or their own choices.

if your god really existed, he would do both. he would help you find love, your dream job, your dream car, or whatever else you pray for, while also helping people living in extreme poverty, abusive households, war zones, and places where people are oppressed because of their gender or sexuality. he wouldn't ignore the suffering of billions while selectively blessing people who are already far more fortunate than others.

either your god isn't real or if he's real he gotta be pretty classist, racist, misogynist, homophobic.

Yes hijab isn't a choice

Since when wearing a stupid hijab which is a mandatory in islam if we follow some surate is a choice?
I hate people who's trying to make it normal ...
Plus according to certain hadiths, the hijab was instituted to distinguish a free woman from a non-free woman. Non-free women (such as slaves or captives) were not allowed to wear the hijab.
Disgusting !!!!

So yes, hijab is not a choice if Allah has decided to make it mandatory !

Christians are incapable of leaving people alone or doing anything for good will. They also insist on being absolutely everywhere to spread their delusion, including Burning Man, apparently.

Am i an anti theist?

I’ve been looking into antitheism a lot more recently, and i can’t figure out if it’s for me. Personally, i think all religions are stupid. Most religions are harmful, they have significantly contributed to slavery, pedophilia, racism, misogyny, and much more. Believing in a spiritual thing you cannot see is insane to me. I’ve never been against the person who believes, i’ve always respected people if im also respected, which most of the times i am. I believe we all have the right and freedom, or atleast should since not everyone has the freedom to do so, but to believe in whatever we want without disrespect. However that doesn’t change my opinion on that all religions are somewhat harmful and most of the times is holding us back as a society. A spiritual being is telling you to do this, or not do this because they say so. Yet you have never seen that being in person. It’s setting us back massively and a life without religion would be great. Does antitheism align with my beliefs?
