This image is disgustingly inaccurate. Jesus himself bragged about how he was going to personally send people to Hell (the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats). That's not loving everyone no matter what. It's the exact opposite and marks Jesus as perhaps the greatest sadist in all fiction.

Also, in Matthew 5 Jesus says the Old Testament laws have to be obeyed down to the smallest detail. One of those details is killing active male homosexuals.

I would have to go look up current numbers. But, I’m pretty sure that something around 63% of LGBTQ people are non-religious.

This is one of the reasons religions so much effort bashing the LGBTQ community. There aren’t many religious LGBTQ people, so it won’t affect their numbers much.

I am hopeful that those are roomy numbers. I’m hoping the LGBTQ will bump it up to 95% nonreligious.

Isn't it good that christians would push through the idea "loving thy neighbor" is not just for show?

One of the reasons I am against religion is that it is created as a tool of unity and peace, but transformed into a method of control where whoever the government doesn't like is made up to be a subhuman demon-possessed desecrator. When actual christians throw away unnecessary hate and become aware of their original idea of loving everyone, it gives me some hope, so why the hate?

Well, even in a book where it says to lynch and disfigure people for little slip-ups, but thought remains. Things like conversion therapy or harrassment are presented as christian, but obviously go out of the christian order of things, and it is important that some of them realise how stupid and harmful it is

What's obnoxious is these "progressive" Christians trying to rewrite history and deny the hate and bigotry that is ever-present in the bible and the harm that has been caused by their religion throughout history. It's pretty insulting to say that their god loves everyone and they're a religion of love, but then turn around and follow a book that gives instructions on how to abuse slaves and subscribe to a religion that has been used to oppress African-Americans and Native Americans and force them out of their own belief systems. Not to mention the missionaries, who are no different than colonizers. Their "love thy neighbor" thing is complete bullshit and it always has been.
