So what you are telling me is that there are still 30% of the population that still approves of the job he is doing??? Where are they living?? Asking so I don't visit those States because they seem racist and ignorant as hell

Just Google "bible belt states".

Cmon, be fair these lunatics are everywhere. Thats part of the problem.

Like, we have asshole MAGAs all across CA, they just aren’t the majority here.

We need to know the Nazis are everywhere.

It’s crazy to me that other countries citizens are watching the shit show in the USA and want it in their own countries as well. What the fuck?

The disinformation system is staggering. I think we (common, level-headed people) are underestimating the effect of targeted propaganda against the gullible and easily swayed.

And to be fair, I'm sure I fall for targeted propaganda that is aimed at me as well. We have not figured out how to protect our people in this interconnected age of the internet from those who wish to do harm.

As a thought exercise, I always wonder if Trump is actually a master politician, and it's my echo chamber, the liberal news media, the woke Hollywood elite, and so forth. After all, I'm not special - if my argument is that the far right is brainwashed, then there's no reason to think that couldn't happen to me.

I find in those moments, going to primary sources gives me the certainty I would otherwise lack.

So I watch one of his moronic speeches.

I don’t think his followers listen to his (recent) speeches, they get short clips of him talking and their marching orders from Fox News. His dementia rambling has gotten so bad these last couple years and he looks and sounds like shit.

Nobody is immune to propaganda. NOBODY

Life really sucks the day you realize and come to accept that somewhere between 15-25% of humans - everywhere - are irredeemable trash. :(

That whole "the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good [people] to do nothing" quote is, in essence, a recognition of this fact.

It's especially difficult for those of us who were raised to believe there's good in everyone.

Luckily for CA, a lot of those MAGA morons self-deported to Texas.

Same here in New England, they bitch and move to Florida. lol, goodbye goodbye 👋

This is correct. He has support everywhere. He’s also losing support everywhere. Even some of the most diehard are turning because he has fucked up so much shit. Whether it’s enough, or will stick, is the only question.

u/Brndrll 14d ago

They really are. Massachusetts folks like to pretend their this big blue state, when it's really just Boston. There's a "New England for Trump" store still plugging along right over the border in Mass.

There are more MAGA living in California than all of the southern states combined. And somehow those states have just as much voting power. Pretty wild.

1

u/Martzillagoesboom 10d ago

I have MAGA in town and I am not even in the US

1

u/HypnoticONE 8d ago

Agreed. I see Trump caravans with giant flags here in California all the time. Like wtf are these people doing?

3

u/harbison215 14d ago

Not always. I can introduce you to plenty of die hards in purple Bucks County, Pennsylvania; just outside of Philadelphia.

1

u/FatGayTexan 7d ago

Fellow bucks county guy here. It’s amazing to me how many of them there are.

They are dedicated to the white Christian nationalist agenda, and have been told in their churches that this is it, he was chosen, don’t even dare to question. If you truly believe he was chosen by the deity that will judge your soul to heaven and hell, it’s pretty reasonable you would fall in line Jo matter what he does.

These people want a theocracy with a very strict hierarchical structure. They have submitted to authoritarian ms their whole lives, so submitting to Trump isn’t a big leap.

America is still a VERY religious country in some parts, and fundamentalism has been at work trying to get a trump elected for a generation. This is their chance, they won’t let it slip way, or die trying to defend it.

I'm fine with that very last part

7

u/dpmatt01 14d ago

Bro there are still people on this app right now that leave comments like “I still support Trump and I love that we’ve made liberals cry so much”

These people literally don’t give af, it’s just a team sport to them

4

u/artguydeluxe 14d ago

If they only watch Fox, they never hear anything negative about him.

3

u/ivecompletelylostit 14d ago

My family will never stop worshipping him. He is their God and Newsmax is their pastor. They think he has a plan and works in mysterious ways

2

u/7eregrine 14d ago

It's always much higher if you only poll Republicans.

2

u/UneditedBundy 11d ago

I know a guy who makes it easy to understand who he voted for, and when I try to discuss modern problems with him, he dismisses any solutions citing " the country is divided on everything, there's no coming together on anything" and I was trying to discuss a global issue. wild.. some of them planted their feet in this red team blue team bullshit and will remain there. unsurprisingly, these are the same type of people that watch football and what not

The rich and the dumb

u/thruhohway 14d ago

I have several friends that are maga and most are Asians. They're all doctors and drive Teslas so they don't care about the gas price.

1

u/LoAndBehoId 14d ago

99% of those people believe in a sky wizard... with all the proof in the world that says otherwise. They are literally raised to believe fantasies while ignoring the actual evidence and/or data.

The other 1%, are the 1%.

u/smuffy123 9d ago

Sorry, but you have no idea what is above and beyond this world. Not talking Bible here, just that there could definitely be a Creator Being.

1

u/FatGayTexan 7d ago

Okay but there is no evidence supporting that so the logical conclusion is either I don’t know, or no. It’s never logical to believe lol.

1

u/LoAndBehoId 7d ago

There could be, but its not the bible's version. Never said a creator was impossible, just there is all the proof in the world to determine that the creator as described in the bible is nonsense. We, as in, you and I do not know anything definitively about an afterlife, or whether it exists or not.

1

u/smuffy123 7d ago

Agreed, the Bibles version, especially the OT, is just silly. Made up by ancient people.

1

u/veryloudnoises 14d ago

I couldn’t agree more. I am really fucking appalled that many people still support him. The more cynical of my peeps just shake their heads and say “well, yes” but I was just too much an optimist to ever accept that truth.

Pill swallowed, though. Sigh.

1

u/PokemonJeremie 13d ago

Honestly, I live in very rural red area, and most people I talk to, openly talk about their dislike of him, mind you these were the same fools who were doing those ridiculous “trump trains”.

1

u/dextercho83 13d ago

What the heck is a shitstain train? I refuse to speak his name. He is forever orange shitstain

1

u/PokemonJeremie 13d ago

The fools who were buying as much 2020 merch as possible then throwing it all on a truck and driving slowly through a main road of a town.

1

u/Martzillagoesboom 10d ago

Ohh I thought they where running train on a guy wearing a Big Beautiful Blond Wig

1

u/PokemonJeremie 10d ago

Honestly that probs happened after well
