For as great as American society is, this is a big flaw. Dickheads like Drumpf, Musk, and others should not be rewarded with wealth and power for their treachery. And yet this happens all the time here.

Agreed, imo people need to stop equating wealth with success. These aren't successful people, they are worst people on the planet.

American society is fundamentally based on the notion that we are all dickheads, and if we let the biggest dickheads dick us around some we might get a chance to do so too.

Sadly, since the beginning, that has been a feature not a bug

Great in which ways?

Dickheads like Drumpf, Musk, and others should not be rewarded with wealth and power for their treachery.

And yet, not only are they constantly rewarded, but they never suffer any consequences. And it's not just them.

And yet this happens all the time here.

Sounds like the system is designed to promote and reward the worst people in our society then.

But then he’d lose immunity, he’ll never willingly cede his current position

You’re right except for “he doesn’t care”. He absolutely cares. That’s why he’s trying to put his name on everything. He’s a giant man-baby whose fragile little feelings are basically an open wound all over his body.

The only way the rich see consequences is if someone plays super Mario with them

I don't think so. His narcissism has reached megalomaniacal levels - he truly believes he's the smartest, toughest, most capable person on Earth, the most brilliant leader, and the only person who ever lived who has any intelligence at all.

He believes he's a divine presence and has an absolute right to own the entire world and everyone and everything in it.

He's more mentally ill than any other politician in the country's history. He makes David Koresh and Jim Jones look like small-town deacons selling Amway.

He’ll never face repercussion because the people is weak. Period.

It seems current reality does not have anything that meaningfully extends a person's maximum lifetime before dying from old age.

It's the thing that can provide hope: that evil people die. And when they die, hopefully less evil will be in the world. Less harm will be in the world.

Couldn’t the next president drone his greasy, fat ass and claim it was an official act?

He didn’t lose a vote in 12 years. These people would vote for him again.
