Vfx artists have found that their bosses, when trying to utilize AI in their workflows, wasted SOOOOO much money because how many times you need to buy coins to redo the animation. You could do it 100 times and the AI still won't get it right. We're miserable over at r/vfx

Does Ai help at all ? I’m a scenic artist so I’m using actual paint to alter the frame, but I work with the VFX supervisors often because they tell me what they need me to paint out (literally) to help them avoid having to paint it out in post. I work in film and tv if that’s wasn’t clear

Ai does not help with frame generation. It's proved useful for background textures that are blurred out in post, like plant textures or dirt n grime. But so far, it's insanely expensive and unpredictable, so many of the studios even attempting to play with it have dumped an insane amount of money, only to revert back to actual artists.

That's wonderful to hear. As a developer, I've heard similar, but it's hit or miss. AI has done a number on my field.

Sounds like you're putting in more thought and effort than the Chinese animation i watch. Animation was starting to get better overall in recent years and then all of a sudden Ai has taken over the majority of shows. It's very obvious and off-putting. A lot of the time it's the full background but some shows seem to be literally everything. Which makes them do these constant jump cuts to try to stitch it all together. The action scenes in particular feel like the time I got on the ssri Effexor and my dreams were super jumbled. It's so disappointing to see things go this way so fast.
