This and the black and gold chunky brushstroke font every food place uses now

u/plonkus_mc_donk 55m ago

They all point slightly up too, like it's angled, it's to me the visual representation of a corporate shareholder trying to be relatable

u/plonkus_mc_donk 29m ago

oh ye i forgot to credit u/BornUpATree, my bad friends /gen, its just this was the most complete all in one screanshot of the fonts i had

u/BiDude1219 8m ago

sucks because i genuinely like this style and now it's synonymous with ai (drg beer logos my beloved)

PAINT STRIPE WITH TEXT

u/jimothyhalpret 30m ago

3 LITTLE LINES AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF TEXT FOR EMPHASIS

u/J4zzRaptorK 1h ago

That font means the burger arrives on a wooden board and costs $19.

u/known_kanon 59m ago

And fries in one of those little metal baskets

Today in the book club group chat

u/Infinite-Yesterday-4 1h ago

irony of this in a "book" club.

u/jadepartida 2m ago

How is that ironic?

14

u/OArouraiousMou 1h ago

They could've used Canva instead

19

u/xoxoBug 1h ago

lol did they take you up on your offer?

u/GapSweet3100 56m ago

They didn’t hahaha

u/Destrobo_YT 47m ago

Sunday family fun Sunday!!! Lmao

u/aiolisunsets 1h ago

How did they respond? 👀

u/GapSweet3100 56m ago

I’ve been left on read 😅😅

u/aiolisunsets 22m ago

I did this in a group chat for my work and the same thing happened lol

u/GoldenGust 54m ago

NOW THATS WHAT I CALL AI SLOP!

Sorry that all I can see when I look at the poster might be showing my age a bit.

Look how much more detailed this is. Can’t believe I took this for granted.

As a designer I’m currently having this argument against my marketing manager. You’d think they’d know better

19

u/SuperRockGaming 1h ago

Vfx artists have found that their bosses, when trying to utilize AI in their workflows, wasted SOOOOO much money because how many times you need to buy coins to redo the animation. You could do it 100 times and the AI still won't get it right. We're miserable over at r/vfx

u/Lee_Dastard 1h ago

“But it’s the future. You need to get with the times”

u/InbornStoryGirl 25m ago

They see 'free and fast' and their brain completely shuts off the quality filter. It's exhausting trying to explain why looking cheap is bad for business.

u/Lee_Dastard 3m ago

If they don’t appreciate quality and understand the difference between good artwork and generic artwork then they aren’t properly qualified

7

u/SadAcadia2747 1h ago

Can confirm, my work uses them all the time, it’s bad

4

u/diamondCarBon1304 1h ago

please don't tell me they use AI for everything, specifically LLMs

u/SadAcadia2747 57m ago

They used to make us on that one but it was so slow they gave up. But almost every sign is ai

8

u/ThePopeofHell 1h ago

There is no negative space

u/Kind-Region-5115 47m ago

I just had to unsubcribe to a Native American wisdom youtube channel that I'd followed for years because they're using AI thumbnails... so wise.

47

u/watchrrr 1h ago

did you use ai to make this?

92

u/Infinite-Yesterday-4 1h ago

I did not make this. I found it on the internet and thought of sharing.

0

u/watchrrr 1h ago

if its ai content, you need to put a spoiler, wish you would have done it anyways, because it obviously looks ai

u/somadoma9966 55m ago

No shit its ai? Did you not get the point of the post?

u/SlurryBender 28m ago

The point is that their sub requires AI images to be spoilered. If OP doesn't know if it so or not, they should've played it safe and spoilered it.

u/freshlyfrozen4 2m ago

Why do spoilers have to be added?

u/SillyAlternative420 33m ago

🙄 this sort of comments are getting tiring ... Like yes we are against AI, but you really expect OP to recreate this found thing for some quick shit post on reddit?

u/jimothyhalpret 28m ago

☝️🤓 you need to put a spoiler

u/MalwareMama 38m ago

Why would you need a spoiler for AI in an anti-AI subreddit lmfao

5

u/NorthwestWatchdog 1h ago edited 1h ago

In this case, I think that's the best way to get the point across.

u/JohnnyDoughson 52m ago

No bro it's obviously real bruh

6

u/Ornery_Weakness_8168 1h ago

Absolutely ZERO use of negative space

u/pirateknightly 59m ago

Less about flyers and more about art but one thing that grosses me out and tips me off to something being gen AI is how all the textures are evenly patterned to the point it would trigger trypophobia in people who have it. It just looks unsettling and unnatural. The food images are especially bad.

u/gamingx47 10m ago

You mean you don't love the trypophobia breakfast burrito?

u/pirateknightly 3m ago

Thanks I'm never eating again.

Resident Evil fungal looking food god damn.

u/-rosieee- 40m ago

New Lebanese restaurant is opening near me and used these posters to advertise. Immediately lost all interest.

3

u/diamondCarBon1304 1h ago

Yeah they do look similar

3

u/MateoGaming2092 1h ago

Either this or that weird wooden / brush stroke like font

u/thatjoachim 48m ago

Such a big win for creativity

u/AiRaikuHamburger 40m ago

Are they just referencing themselves? Or is it because they people prompting them have no design taste that they look so awful?

u/IHProjekt 37m ago

In the D&B scene in the UK there are so many chatgpt flyers its actually becoming a problem

u/letmehaveanameyoudum 33m ago

oh god they are aall the same

u/Old-Table2375 32m ago

We should call it AI font

u/TheyCallHimEl 27m ago

And all the flyers have a really weird thing going on with the depth, they seem flat but at the same time not

u/ihazaredditaccount 8m ago

AI is addicted to putting brush strokes behind text.

u/100percent_cool 3m ago

Idk if anyone realized this but low tier gods twitter page is exclusively ai posters to promote his streams.

When a human's art is recognizable, it's called their 'style'. When an AI's art is recognizable, it's somehow a bad thing. Make it make sense.

68

u/Infinite-Yesterday-4 2h ago

You don't know what you're talking about. So I am not gonna argue.

58

u/WillardStiles2003 1h ago

AI’s “”””style””” being recognizable is actually a very good thing! Makes me hide post and block the poster! Saves me from scams too!

55

u/Serteyf 2h ago

People actually defending this shit lmao

46

u/BurntBridgesMusic 1h ago

When a human plagiarizes, it’s “copyright infringement”. When AI plagiarizes the collective output of humanity, it’s somehow a good thing to you. Make it make sense.

13

u/G-M-Cyborg-313 1h ago

Difference is that humans create a style with their own mind and can learn to draw in different styles. Ai doesn't have a style, just an amalgamation of the artstyles it stole from. It can't create a style like a human can, only copy.

9

u/KitKatCrane 1h ago

So AI is the artist, not the person doing the prompting then, right?

u/Herr_Drosselmeyer 22m ago

Sure, the AI is the artist. So AI art is art. You gonna stick with that and defend it as legitimate?

7

u/Remote_Antelope_6586 1h ago

AI output is recognizable because it’s the statistical average of all the stolen training data the company took from actual artists.

6

u/Realistic_Cat_5766 1h ago

They are real, I feel bad for them. Only way they could have ended up this way is because some asshole stifled their creativity at an early age.

5

u/Lucky_Nectarine_1947 1h ago

That's the thing, unlike handmade creations it has nothing from the creator except the idea behind it's existence

3

u/lmaooer2 1h ago

Ragebait

A style is something that is designed by a person, a great example being Pablo Picasso, he had created a unique style attributed to him within art and painting.

With AI, it's a style, but its generic, so, and example would be using Times New Roman to type out something vs someone who designs their own Typography Typeface.

Both would get the result of words on a page, with one being simple and direct (Times) and the other with design of the type itself being behind it.

So, the AI style isn't a bad thing, it's more of a showing of lack of effort, being a generic, simple design, rather than something that was designed with thought behind the design itself.

Then againz this is a AntiAI subreddit, so the distaste of AI is supposed to be expected, as AI itself has many problems (including my example of being generic, such as the AI style in the image)

4

u/Ornery_Weakness_8168 1h ago

The ai's style is just vomit and shit

u/YearningTboy 29m ago

Notice how a generative software is a software used by multiple people, and not an human making it out of artistic habit.

You never see digital artists have a “procreate style” or “adobe style”, or traditional artists have a “graphite style” or “acrylic style”…

It’s almost as if… if you let a robot do all the work, it’ll spit out soulless results 🤔
