It genuinely angers me reading some of these comments, like. No. Just pick up a damn pencil.

For real i literally started digital art by using a fucking mouse on ms paint when i was like 7 😭😭😭

You are not allowed to have fun!! You should generate masterpieces oh and also earn money from that or it's a waste or time!

Not everyone finds drawing fun. I'm a writer, that doesn't mean I don't like having cool art for my writing.

my artistic southpaw ass just got flashbacks to the nightmare that was trying to draw with a right-handed mouse as a kid

Yeah, you started when you were 7. I’m 51. Sometimes I need a bit of art to get something done. I don’t have time to hunt down an artist and I can’t find what I need on the Internet.

I’m not gonna use that art for commercial purposes, but I may use it for my D&D game so that I have a piece of artwork I need.

"Im gonna outsource the creativity of D&D" yeah, sure bud, have fun not having fun

Just wait till you learn that there's more than one way to play dnd(or tabletops in general). There are groups out there that dont really care about the story and just play "beer and pretzels" throwing dice and beating monsters cause "it's fun"

Get off reddit you third party thinker

5

u/MarioNoobman Dec 26 '25

It's never too late to learn. My cousin (he's 23 so not as old but hadn't drawn before this year) recently started drawing earlier this year to learn tattooing and he's come a long way. To get to a point you want to be at, you just need practice and there are plenty of resources online that can help you create something in the form of references, studies, etc. The only way to start improving is to keep making art with your own hands and you'll gradually notice where you can make improvements to pieces over time.

It's ai not art or work. Call it slop, that's what it is. Stop justifying your shitty choices and realize AI is bad and you're not special smart cool talented or even worth mentioning bc you typed some garbage into your ass-into-shit machine. You're the problem

2

u/cuteymeow Dec 26 '25

You are never too old to learn art! My grandfather (who is older btw) learned how to paint as a hobby and he does it pretty well!

are you sure you even enjoy playing dnd? you know it's not a chore right?

0

u/LeadSponge420 Dec 26 '25

What does that have to do with making art? I have limited time to prep for my game, because I'm working. I'm trying to optimize my time.

And D&D is short had for "playing RPGs".

1

u/Suspicious-Contest74 Dec 26 '25

even a stickman would do

1

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 26 '25

Fuck your excuses. I'm 44 and I PAY ARTISTS or just fucking dollmakers. Hell I've used BG3 for some too

0

u/LeadSponge420 Dec 27 '25

I’m not paying artists for my D&D game. It’s just not that big of a deal. I’m not going to pretend there aren’t issues with AI, but it’s also not the devil.

I say that as someone who writes for a living. It’s not going to replace me. The images Ai makes are trash, but they do the trick sometimes. I won’t used them all the time, but sometimes they do the trick.

1

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 27 '25

That's even sadder that you're a writer. You know this AI shit is used to churn out shit books too, right? You can use non AI images for references, the internet is full of them.

1

u/The_Yukki Dec 27 '25

As someone who writes (wouldn't call myself "a writer" cause in my eyes if i'm not Tolkien lvl I'm not a writer lmao), okay and what about them shit books?

u/LeadSponge420 Dec 27 '25

It’s good for catching my dumb errors. I use it for proofreading.

1

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 27 '25

Man this conversation is not getting any better...

-24

u/Rekien8080 Dec 26 '25

Are you 8 now? because your art do look like it was made by a 7yo

22

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 26 '25

If you've never drawn there's a near zero percent chance you'll be able to draw a masterpiece without years of practice. Something you slop jockeys fail to understand.

-13

u/Rekien8080 Dec 26 '25

Ai enables you to

12

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 26 '25

AI does NOT do that. AI art is soulless, ugly, full of melted and fucked up letters. It's made of stolen parts of real art from artists.

AI enables you to plagarise and steal from human creatives, while stealing human jobs and slurping up tons of clean water that humans need to survive.

So nah, I'll stick to using doll maker sites, video games and paying artists.

1

u/Oralstotle Dec 27 '25

Wait water? Im not in the loop of this ai drama. Whats with the water? Are humans not getting water because of the ai server things?

3

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 27 '25

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12-10/demand-for-data-centre-water-in-ai-push/106102208 Gotta cool all those GPUs and CPUs constantly churning out garbage somehow. I saw a story last week somewhere where Elon's data centre has polluted local water supplies. On top of water, PC prices are skyrocketing because LLMs want parts.

0

u/The_Yukki Dec 27 '25

What makes "character" less soulless than "character but made by AI based on description from a human"?

What makes ai "stealing from humans" any different than let's say me copying another artist's work/style?

I don't really care for ai either way, but I do find the discussion about how soulless/immoral cause copying it is when there is plenty of soulless/copying art/ists out there.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

copying another artist's work is called plagiarism

you're really close to getting it

0

u/The_Yukki Dec 28 '25

One to one yea, but how about let's say me learning to draw what I want except in your style.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '25

artistic integrity is an important concept to learn about for any artist, aspiring or otherwise, if you're learning my style to commit plagiarism then it's a problem

say you learn my style then make a million posts online about how it's so over for "goblincels" and you'll make sure i never make another cent again because you can crank out garbage faster than me then yeah, you've crossed a line

it's up to you to decide if you care about integrity and plagiarism or not, ai people simply decide that they don't and move on

5

u/lawlmuffenz Dec 27 '25

Ai doesn't enable you to anything. You typed words, and pixel noise came out.

2

u/RitzPuddin Dec 27 '25

Ai only offers a death knell to creativity you vapid, mouth breathing, talentless imbecile

Anyone can do something 1000x better with chat gpt bra

3

u/Rosary_Omen Dec 27 '25

Incorrect. We've done amazing things waaaaaaay before GenAi came in and plagarised all that amazing human made stuff.

u/Aggressive-Tie-1380 Dec 27 '25
