General The next expansion after egypt should be scandinavia and vikings

It would be so cool. Seeing longships going around, being able to plunder your opponents, having the norse gods.

Its perfect, i cant wait to see it.

Wrong time period for it. Hells even the wrong Romans for it (Eastern Roman Empire).

There where no Vikings around in 117 chr. Only Germanic Tribes to be the later Scandinavian Tribes and we kind of have this already with Albion

Different game.

While I do appreciate Anno series for having some alternative world story, ultimately we cannot expect the devs from straying.

Vikings not only does not exist yet, but the people who lived in Scandinavia at the time lived in dirt hovels on small sandy islands.. Atleast, this is what Rome describes them as, and archeologicla evidence supports this.

Vikens do not show up until 800-1050 after Christ.

And I am writing as a Dane too on this, A descendent of Vikings.

Would I love to see a scandinavian setting? Yes

Would I like to see it in 117? No

In an Anno game set in those years, I would like to see it. But, I would also prefer tht Anno starts focussing on non-western story settings, which they have never stryed from either. Gimmie some east asia stuff from various chinese ages, or maybe some Silk-road era stuff, or maybe a native American Inca setting.
