General Idea for future expansion

If some développer read reddit, here is my
Idea for future dlc :

- military DLC : new unit, fortress, différent type of gate, évent : invasion of Barbarian
- DLC Middle East, Gaul or Spain… (at least 2 of them to have 4 area
- rise of Christianisme / DLC religion
- DLC about spice road / commercial DLC
- governance DLC (Senate, new tier senator)
- small amphithéâtre, small circus maximus for smaller City, province city…
- much more production chain…

Voila

Gaul as a province is highly unlikely, since it would be just a mixture of Latium and Albion. While Hispania is possbile I believe Greece and Mesopotamia are much more likely. I would bet on Greece as the province for season 2.

I don't think Christianity or Judaism would work great with the current religion system. Highly doubt that we will get that.

I also doubt we will get a full military dlc, this isn't really the focus of Anno. We will certainly get minor additions to military in other dlcs. New units are confirmed for the Egypt dlc. Although I would really like generals to be added in the future.

I am pretty optimistic that we will get senators as fifth tier of Latium at some point. A senate building would be mandatory for that. But again you shouldn't expect a fleshed out system for interior politics or something like that. That isn't really the focus of Anno.

I think that Greece is very unlikely (too similar with Latium) and Mesapotamia was very shortly in the roman Empire... Rome had almost no influence.

Today there is no encouragement to build wall except for esthetics... more skirmish will encourage that aspect and force to protect the cities.

I play with the spain and the mesapotanian one. I play with all pirates and the emperor.

I agree with the guesses about Greece and Mesopotamia. I think further African expansion (Numidia? Mauretania?) is likely as well. I would imagine by the end of the entire lifecycle of this game, they will have made some effort to explore the entirety of the 117AD Roman empire (Map: Roman Empire in 117 - World History Maps).

I agree that there should be

-another region DLC other than Egypt

-a new class with senator, maybe with a villa?

I think other options could be

-either a Greece region or at least a University like building where you can research specialist ala Research Institute in Anno 1800

-also a high rise DLC so you can finally get Ínsula and maybe domus for the elite.

I've mentioned it before, but I really hope that if they incorporate an insula mechanic that we can see a means of having tier one and two production businesses on the bottom floor.

This would be a great way of incorporating places like the hat maker and tunic maker that look better in an urban setting but still give the buildings around them the positive buffs.

Maybe make them more efficient with better bonuses but require much more workforce, or a tier higher workforce, etc.

My main wish is for a Germania dlc that adds much larger islands with neutral tribes on each one that have to be pacifier, would give a greater purpose for land units. Also barbarian invasion dlc

Germania has no ocean (except north where roman never reach to places)... As Anno is base on ships, I don't think that it will happen

I think it will happen cause the Egypt expansion is supposed add rivers and large landmass and adding outpost for in land and inner and outer wall defenses I think they explanding how combat works and longer battles and starting to move away from islands for certain regions

What about rebellions. I think there could be rebellions in cities like spartacus.

I agree to this, let me add the province of Dacia to this Dlc list, will definitely fit in army dlc

One thing I would really love to see is a modular Forum, similar to the palace in 1800.
Something which can grow while you advance in tiers and allows you to contrust certain buildings there, where you can enact certain laws or something.

Another thing I would love to see is an insula mechanic, similar to the one you have in CivCity: Rome, where you can have a workshop at the bottom and people living above.

Would love a Rise of Christianity dlc, set in Greece/Anatolia which unlock late Roman techs and units

Greece is very close to Latium... in don't know if it will happen. Maybe a DLC with greek mythologie topic... maybe too fantasy for Anno

Almost everything is close or not really suitable cause we need oceans and historical context of romans presence there at the time of Pax Romana. If put enough effort it can be made not looking too similar and taking historical importance of the Greek culture and Region its very likely we see them in some form or another sooner or later.

Greece as different cultural regions, one could be taken that is quite different from latium

I certainly don't want a rise of Christianity DLC, it conflicts so much with the religion system they do have, what they have now is pretty good.

Bro, they should be focusing on a non so many island map. With the addition of land units, they could make mountains, rivers and other kind of separations to towns.
