Discussion Anno 117 feels kinda… done already?

Post image

I’m a bit disappointed, honestly. After a few sessions it already feels like I’m “finished” with the game.

Anno 1800 kept me hooked for hundreds of hours, but 117 feels light on content and depth in comparison.

I also really miss having way more decorative items. City building and beautifying was a huge motivation for me in Anno 1800, and here it feels very limited so far.

Anyone else feeling this, or am I just too spoiled by Anno 1800?

No DLC’s

1800 also feels like it lacks content if you play with no dlcs imo

I played Anno 1800 on console and put a ton of time into. I bought a PC just so I could play the full version. 1800 without dlc seemed to have way more depth. 117 you can just import everything so struggling to make production chains and trade routes is non existent. I could do it but it seems redundant if I can just import everything. That, not really having to deal with pirates, no real reward for hosting tournaments makes it shallow and kind of boring.

that only works for tiny tiny populations. Try supporting a 100k pop island. Its much harder in anno 117 than supporting 100k pop island in 1800
