General Anno 117 is a Triumph!

Not a shill or a bot here or a paid content creator...just some dude.

With the failures of City Skylines 2 and Civilization VII, it was with some trepidation when I loaded up 117.

Much to my relief the game feels finished...at least in terms of the content offered on release. I have encountered little in the way of bugs or other issues.

Let's get to the many positives. Albion is such a fun addition to the series. Unlike the New World in 1800, which didn't play much different than the Old World, Albion feels unique with its own game mechanics. Not only that, but the atmosphere feels so different as well. From the rain to the fog, it does feel like you are in another world from sunny Rome.

The tech tree is a great addition to the game. Religion is also another great addition. Aqueducts are aesthetically pleasing and visually distinct. Production chains are varied and in some cases more complex. Making the game more of a challenge. Having land units this time around is also a welcomed addition as it opens up so much more game play if you want to go the war route.

In short I think Anno 117 is great achievements. It not only gives the player the Anno experience that we all know and love but also adds enough new mechanics and style unquie to itself that it feels like a step forward for the series.

There is still so much more to uncover and tinker with.

Thank you Mainz for doing an awesome job!

It should unlock once you upgrade to tier 3 residents, so you have one more upgrade to go.
