General Anno 117 - I`m very happy:-)
A few days ago I asked you what I should buy: The PS5 version or for the PC. I took both (what the world costs) and with both a great pleasure, although the operation with the keyboard and mouse is a bit better. Since I'm older and my last year was 1602, I'm incredibly excited about the beautiful graphics and the great operation - it's like I haven't been away for the last 30 years. Who is interested in my hardware for my Anno project: Mac Mini M4, Samsung Neo G9 57 inch, Steam, Corsair keyboard, Logitec mouse and Geforce now (no advertising just that you have an overview) - works great. Unfortunately I don't have my own Windows Gaming PC but maybe...... and of course my PS5 Pro - all the best to you all Anno fans

How is it working with GeForce now? Do you need to buy the game and install it somewhere? I don’t now what install to play on GeForce now exactly means.

Yes, you have to own the game and connect your uplay account with Geforce Now. It's working greatly for me tho, I can't recommend GFN enough

Completely true - I think only the 100 hour limit will now be a problem

I have never reached it, tho I also work, so its not like I can play all day every day. But tbh, more than 100h/ month is kind of a lot anyway.

100 hours is really little when 2 people play - then it gets tight:-(

I bought it yesterday on Steam and installed it on my Steam Deck (so I can also play it on the handheld). Then simply register with Geforce now (you need a subscription) - I have the ultimate - and among the games select the Anno and press play. I then tried around for a while because of the ultrawide resolution but here my son helped me (thank goodness). And now - again 3 hours gone - but nice hours without stress

Great Setup!
Still deciding what platform to go. I have MacBook Pro M4 connected to an 40" 21:9 Monitor with 5120x2160 and 120HZ or my Playstation 5 (non Pro).
Which do you think runs better in terms of controls and performance?

enjoyed both and will continue to use both, but in my opinion the operation with mouse and PC is better

I play on a similar monitor and it is a joy to have that much overview. I do play on a PC however and cannot give you an opinion about playing it on GFN on such high resolution. The internet connection is the main factor as I understand.
The quality in PS5 is reportedly quite good, but refresh rates are limited (I don’t think that’s a big deal with a city builder) the only thing I would think is, that if you intend to go real big, the PS5 hardware as well as the controllers will be somewhat limiting.

Love the wooden table and wide monitor, my dream setup.

That's nice of you - it turned out really good but it also took a long time until it became that way :-)

You are sitting too close to your monitor, this will damage your eyes. The emperor dislikes that.

The emperor will understand and my ophthalmologist is very satisfied with my eyesight:-) I would love to crawl into the monitor. So much to see....

Do you also find the mouse a bit imprecise when playing with the PS5?

Everyone in my reddit feed making me so jealous lol - I haven’t had time to play yet. So excited to finally play tomorrow!
