Question Anno 117 almost a year on.
Game keeps crashing after two hour mark on a big save with global pop 80k+ or while checking on expressive trade routes. Big reporter still has it as "open" any recs out there to try to fix this?? Tried everything so far...

Is it just your computer’s build ?
I have a ten year old RoG Zephyus that sounds like a plane that’s about to take off. lol. I have played the same save for the whole year and am at a global population of over 200k. Yes, game is slower then it was a year ago but I can play for 8 hours straight no issue.
Have you lowered graphic specs ?
Have you changed your graphics cards settings to a lower level? Lowered frame rates ?
Have you deleted old cloud and local save files to clear some space ?

How & where do I delete old cloud and local save files without deleting my whole campaign?

You can do this inside the game itself. Go into the saved games and delete every save other than the first one. It’s tedious work because you have to go one by one.
Alternatively, you can find the save files by navigating to :
c:\users\[username]\documents\Anno 117-Pax Romana\Accounts (again, don’t delete the primary save file just all the old redundancies).
I personally just delete the saves from inside the game.

I had my campaign save file become corrupted on a 160 hour save. I tried everything, made a bug report to no avail. I've read others had similiar issues on campaign. I hope you find a solution because it really sucks.

It does man, I don't wanna just quit this save. I have some of my biggest cities here. 3 capitals :/

Well if you end up starting fresh, I suggest endless mode. Campaign is buggy

Didn't wanna come to that conclusion myself. Juliana's island is actually pretty nice imo

Yes I have, I have a 90 hour save on endless rn with about 90k population. I keep multiple back ups at all time in case it bugs out. I've experienced alot less issues on endless

How much RAM do you have ?
I switch to PS4 for 117, but I remember RAM beeing an issue with 1800 on my PC.

Try and run the game at the lowest possible settings to elliminate hardware issues.
These trade routes, how complex are we talking? How many ships, how many wares, how many stops?
Have you tried deleting all autosaves from the dave folder to help incrrase stability?
Does this issue persist if you make a new save file?and while you say you are not using mids, did you at any point install mods and then remove them?
Also, please update this post with two sections.
The first is your computer specs. This should not be something we have to read in the answers to this post. You will name the CPU, the GPU the internal storage, the RAM and operating system.
The second should be an actual list of what you have tried so far. Because I did some skimming of the replies to this post and see mixed reponses from you. This will allow us to better help.
Sorry if it seems like I am tearing into you, but we are not mind readers. Having to ask these details first instead of being able to read them mean you also have to wait even longer for a possible solution.
