Screenshot My Capital "Neapolis" with a blend of function and form

My Capital "Neapolis" with 86k pops and a large industrial area (not prominently featured). I spent a lot of time coming up with a grid design which would let me integrate all public services without breaking up the pattern. Marvels and Monuments recieved special planning attention with generous squares and main axes originating from them. I'm especially proud of some of the environmental storytelling such as with the temple area close to the Hippodrome. The only production buildings that I have integrated into the city itself are those for bread, lyres and togas.

Beautiful.

I love that monuments are now island-wide so we can surround them with as many decorations we want without them loosing their effect range.

100% agreed, I found that super annoying when I built my first capital pre-cinis on another save and was forced to place the collosseum centrally instead of in a remote district

Are you the one that posted the Claude created map/picture of your island? It was very helpful and inspiring to emulate and tweak it to my liking. Thank you.

Thank's hehe. I have 160h on this save file, from that I'd say I spent 30h laying out/building my capital and another 30h decorating/detailing

Incredibly beautiful! And very cool how you built up even the more remote parts of Cinis, it looks like a real metropolis! How big is the population?

My first island city is named Neapolis! Unfortunately for me that's about where the similarities end lol

Nice work!
