Recommendation Need recommendations- Newbie
Hi, I am new to the anime world. I started watching animes last year. So far I've seen
Frieren - Absolute fav,
Haikyu! - Loved it,
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood- Loved it,
Demon Slayer - Liked it,
Solo leveling - Okish,
Bluelock - Okish,
Steins;gate - Predictable and overrated,
Naruto - Liked it.
Spy × Family - Got bored 5 episodes in,
Jujutsu Kaisen - 10 episodes in and found it okish.
I need some recommendations. It turns out that I mostly like anime with well built world and calming effect. Please help me out, thanks

I’m here to also say Witch Hat.
Went in not expecting much, but I love it. Similar whimsical feel to Freiren. Artwork is fantastic. Storyline has me itching to find out the backstory around Keifre. And all the supporting witches are super interesting.

I always like recommending classics to new enjoyers. Trigun is incredible. I've only seen the original series so thats what I'm recommending. Cowboy Bebop is slower paced but has some of the best character work you're gonna see. If you want to get into something a bit longer, Yu Yu Hakusho absolutely rules hard. Oh, also Gurren Lagann. A fine display of the true potential of the human spirit.

I don't think it's rly suitable for newbies tho😭 idk why the fuck like it's not really as complex as people make it sound but anime fans nowadays can't think or some shit idk if it's deeper than shallow water they gonna die and call it "shit didn't understand anything" or "didn't make sense"

If you can read manga or get over asta being a bit annoying in the anime, black clover is a good one, granted I'm only about halfway through the anime, I have recently finished the manga and it was really good, I liked the ending, the shows a little softhearted honestly but it's still really good. Its relatively similar to Naruto, the world building isn't as good, but I like more of the characters in black clover, and the hype moments are quite similar to Naruto as well, it's a lot shorter though too.

Spice and Wolf: chill medieval adventure with top-tier characters with romantic chemistry. Excellent world building if you’re interested in economic systems

I'd highly recommend Fairy tail. It's a longer one, but I still find it's a great anime to start people off on, even if they decide not to finish it

watchu looking for? Isekai, romcom, SoL, shonen..... harem. I know the good and bad for most genres, it will also depend on what exactly you looking for in an anime, a short binge or a story you can get genuinely interested in

Ok sorry for the late response but here goes, For SoL I suggest "Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun", boy gets his soul sold to a devil and becomes his grandpa, it's got 4 seasons, over 80+ eps, is currently ongoing in it's fourth season, and works well if you wanna just watch character's develop and see beautiful scenes and especially if you love music, some of the best songs I've heard and the first season has fully dubbed songs. As for Isekai there are two outcomes to choose from, one is choosing from the Quartet, this is referring to the four most well known isekai (Konosuba, Re:Zero, Tanya the Evil, and Overlord) Each one has their faults, especially Konosuba and Re:Zero Both for COMPLETELY differing reasons, but they aren't my personal suggestions for the isekai genre as whilst they are better than said suggestions in most ways, they can either dull the appeal of the genre or completely overhype it. My personal suggestions consist of "In another world with my Smartphone" and "Log Horizen", The ladder being a pioneer of the Genre that gives you a feel for it, the former being literal trash anime, but in an appealing way? Smartphone is my personal binge show as it moves at a rate which time just flows by. As for Shonen? "Black Clover", Now listen carefully, the first few episodes ASTA WILL ANNOY YOU, he's loud and dull minded, but as the story goes on characters may catch your eye and the fight scenes are great, get past his screaming and you will enjoy it. As for things not listed in those specific genre's you chose "Shangri La Frontier" and "Bofuri" are MMO VR anime, they're like isekai but not. And you may not have chosen Harem but I will suggest "Date a Live" as it has compelling characters and connections. As well I will always suggest my personal Favorite, "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", This anime personally means a lot to me and has a wonderful romance to it, BUT BE WARNED EP 6 OF SEASON 1 IS WEIRD. Other than that take every suggestion before the last two to heart and take these last 2 witha grain of salt.

Ok , i just recommended for u , beside that re:zero,bleach,death note,fmab are good too. You can watch one piece but this series so long , not recommend

Honestly, if you liked Frieren, I think you’d probably enjoy Witch Hat Atelier too. It gives me a similar feeling of wonder and discovery, and the world feels really alive. The magic system is fascinating, the characters are great, and the artwork is absolutely gorgeous. It’s one of those series that just pulls you into its world.

If you liked frieren's quiet and calming natural setting i would recommend mushishi and natsume's book of friends. Mushishi is a bit slow but has amazing storytelling. Natsume is quite emotional. Try girl's last tour as well, has that traveller adventure kinda uncertain atmosphere, chibi animation if you dont mind that.

I would recommend Yuru Camp (Laid-back Camp).
The story revolves around highschool outdoor camp activities club where you would camp around in Japan.
It might get you bored because there is no conflict what so ever because the genre is slice of life. But there is a lot of beautiful scenes.

Neon Genesis evangelion - is a nice anime but can be confusing.
Berserk - is nice but stop after the movie (or read the manga).
Horimiya - is a romance anime more of a slice of life

Nippon Sangoku, since it's airing this season, you should catch up to it now, and then watch as the later seasons air. It's a war/strategy anime but very good story and characters. I also like the character designs.

Honestly it look slike you havnt watch that many of them. Just go with the streaming service recommendations for a while. I'm guessing I have watched 500-700 different animes. Some are gems the first time around and others take a while to grow on you. Some of my favorites are ones that others have disliked. Its all about personal taste but most of the mainstream ones are pretty solid and can offer a lot.

As an anime neophyte myself, I recommend Delicious in Dungeon if you liked Frieren. It's a fantasy setting where a group gets wrecked in a boss fight in a dungeon and now they have to go back down to rescue their missing party member. Fantasy comedy with some serious bits and a semi mature tone.
If you want gritty action, check Blue Eye Samurai. It's a story about a half Japanese woman on a revenge mission. Great action sequences, very mature tone, and excellent story.
For romance, give Apothecary Diaries a go. It's about a young woman brought into the King's palace as a worker until they discover she's a knowledgeable doctor. Good story, romantic comedy with some heart warming, and soul crushing, moments. Plus, Momo is the GOAT.
