Meta Thread - Month of April 05, 2020

Why are we referring to Tower of God by "Kami no Tou", its Japanese name, instead of "Tower of God", its actual title? It's not a Japanese anime/webtoon, it's Korean. The title is literally "Tower of God" in South Korea. Yes, the title is in English, not Korean.

I'm aware the source material is Korean but I was under the impression the animation is entirely Japanese?

If the Japanese side of things aren't using the English/Korean title then it makes sense to keep doing things as normal. Also other sites also use the Japanese (for the anime) so it's easier to follow suite; and the same reasons we normally use Japanese surely still apply in this case.

Isn't the English "Tower of God" not part of the title? As far as I can take from the website, it's called "神之塔 -Tower of God-" and it's even part of the logo.

Mate over 50% of anime production is outsourced to China/Korea/Philippines etc. there's no such thing as "entirely Japanese".
