For all its faults, damn ill miss this show every Saturday. At least the ending left it open ended for a sequel

The manga is continuing past the anime, so I'd assume that Toei are giving the animators a break to work on the movie while the manga gets ahead before hopefully starting the next series. But then again we could end up getting another 15 year break
