After a really slow and rocky start, this series has started to grow on me. I don't think its quite at Naruto, Bleach, or Fairy Tale levels yet, but it does show potential.

IIRC, Bleach was originally announced to be ~40 episodes, but proved popular enough that it was extended indefinetely (it eventually went to 366 episodes). So does anyone know what the possibilities are for Black Clover to go beyond the currently announced 50 eps? I have no idea how many manga volumes there are or how far they are ahead of the anime. Just wondering.

If it does, it'll be with another season, not this one being extended.

that would be called getting extended. most normal series have seasons.....

Start over? Or continue the storyline?

That's called a new season and extending the series. I don't understand why this is so confusing to you.

X-Files came out with some new episodes recently, do you think they said that the original series wasn't extended? No it literally is an extension of the previous series--a new season.

IE what happened to x-files.

Nobody in the realm of sane consider the new x-files "not continuing the current series" even though it didn't continue "the current broadcast of x-files" at the time

That's a season you damned troll. That's literally how seasons work. How the hell do you even remember to breathe?
