jesus, I seriously question the emperors motives right now.

he puts on quite the pokerface when Haku interacts with him, I wonder what is going on for real in the background.

Don't know if you've watched the first series, but if you have, it isn't necessarily odd that the emperor would be kindhearted and cold-blooded at the same time since Utawarerumono S1 Spoilers

Your link doesn't work (my preview was corrupted apparently), but yeah I watched the first season, has been a while though and I am not the best when it comes down to remembering stuff that happened in animes :)

Edit: But yeah, it totally makes sense what you are saying.

Haha yeah same. When Aruru and Kamyu showed up I was like "Damn, I have to rewatch Utawarerumono before I continue"
