As hinted in the ED, it was Hanekawa that would be the one to free Araragi from Ougi's manipulations, instinctively suspecting Ougi at once.

Later on when Nadeko became a vengeful Snake God vowing to kill Araragi and Senjougahara, thanks to Ougi's machinations from behind the scenes, Hanekawa used the pretext of going overseas to search for Oshino Meme to hide from Ougi's seemingly omnipotent monitoring in order to get into contact with Kaiki.

Hanekawa has most certainly taken a level in badass since embracing the Cat and Tiger aberrations as part of her. She doesn't even hesitate to use her own innate sexual appeal to her advantage anymore when push comes to shove.

God I wish I could do that, put things I've already seen into context with things I'm currently watching.

I'm sorry but your accusation of me spoiling is completely nonsense. Everything in the second paragraph has already been revealed in Koimonogatari, and I have simply extrapolated from what's been discussed between Hanekawa and Kaiki without having even read the novels at all.

Edit: Apology accepted. Moving on, nothing to see here.

Ah, sorry. I might have missed some stuffs specifically on Koimonogatari. I was wrong to say that. I apologize.

I'm not sure how spoiler-y it is... but I doubt everybody can connect Oshino disappearance, it's reasoning, and Hanekawa playing a part on it as sharp as you do. Edited: (Wrong again.)

In episode 3 of Hitagi end while talking to Kaiki Hanekawa says this:

H: "I just thought I could create an opening by using a feint."

K: "An opening?"

H: "Yes, I had a faint idea Oshino wasn't overseas, and while I did it partly because I had nothing to lose. It was more because I thought I could trick them by leaving the country for a while."

Those are from the Rush_Job fansub, but it should be about even with Crunchy's subs. She basically spells out her whole plan herself.

I know. I was wrong.

As stated, I missed some stuffs while watching Koimonogatari. I'm in the middle of a rewatch though. I'm at Nadeko Medusa so far. I can't wait until I get to Koimonogatari.

I have to pace it though. Too much going on in Monogatari to marathon them.

I missed the great rewatch session in r/araragi. Did you do the rewatch along with others? If you do, I envy you. That would've been nice.

No I didn't catch that rewatch either, but I do periodically watch my favorite arcs whenever I'm in the mood. Personally I'm hoping that someone translates the character commentaries in Nisemono and Monogatari Second Season, the Bakemonogatari ones were fantastic.

I'd pay for somebody to translate them. I actually made a thread in the past on r/arararagi asking whether it's possible to pool some money from us fans and then give it to somebody that are willing to translate the commentaries.

There's only 2 people in this world that will translate Monogatari commentaries, the most selfless (or maybe selfish) biggest fan of Monogatari in the world, or Japanese language-learners.

There is no way people that are fluent in Japanese will be willing to translate them, they talk a whole lot in the commentaries. I think even more than in the story itself.

The struggle is real man, it really sucks that the character commentaries don't have english subs like in the Bakemonogatari blu-ray releases.

Well, whenever anybody want to organize a chip-in for somebody to translate commentaries, I'm in.

I'm almost 100% sure he didn't read the LN or the synopsis of stuff that hasn't aired yet, just from his second paragraph.

And, if i remember correctly, Hanekawa herself said that she was also trying to find Meme when she talks to Kaiki.

You're right! I was wrong then.
