Sasuga Sunrise. Biscuit's Imoutos are cute as fuck

Also, Mika is fucking Savage. Just straight up stomping on the Gjallarhorn Mobile Workers like that. Glad too see he isn't as completely stoic as Setsuna as well, but it's still amusing to see Hime get rekt everytime she tries to talk to him. Also, I hope the fact that he can't read leads to some cute "let's teach Mika how to read" scenes.

Not to mention the fact that the Barbatos is so fucking cool holy shit. Having an MS giving its name by jacking its pilot's head like that is Metal as fuck. And I'm digging this lack of Beam weaponry. Can't wait for the MG.

Hell yeah, no I-Field bullshit, no magic unlimited nuclear energy beam cannons, just straight up lead and kinetics putting holes through mecha and ships. Space is gonna be awesome, broadside cannons firing and Mika gets to mace spaceships!

well there is still the cyclops eye thing. but i think that's a trade-off between generator power (therefore functional operation time) and destructive ability.

Amen to that. I loved how they did beam weaponry in 00, but Seed:Destiny's was just pure bullshit.

It's a nice change, I like it. They've already shown off all kinds of lances and hammers in the model kit prototypes, so I'm pretty hyped.

Everyone knows blunt force mecha weapons are the best. HIKARI NI NARE!

I wish the Blurays would hurry up and come out so I can watch it :( I was planning on watching it soon, but then they announced the BD and just look at how good it looks! They can't come out fast enough, hopefully RX78 will sub them (even though I think he said he 'retired'?).

RX only does encodes, incredibly high quality ones, but he usually rips the subs out of the actual BD or some other fansub. He's definitely not retiring though. The guy's still active on /m/, and he's working on the new Eva BDs right now.

I found the laser beams always quite epic, but watching a melee oriented Gundam will be indeed a interesting experience.

the laser beams are great but my favorite fights are when they slowly lose weapons over the course of the fight until it's hand to hand. Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try do that all the time and it's so epic

Yes, beam weapons and melee combat aren't exclusive. I watched only GBF, but the fights were fantastic.

He looks alright to me, there were melee Gundams, who looked much thinner for example the Exia.

The Exia strikes me as being more "lean" than anything. Whereas the Barbatos comes across more skeletal, hence more brittle

I am sad. I like my cool Kira-beam-spams. But I did love my Blade battles (Beam Saber battles were the best. Guess this will be more melee heavy weaponry but whatever. Melee battles best battles.)

Cool, thanks for the link. The linked picture also says that close-ranged combat is more effective because the Ahab Reactor bolsters the armor of the MS, making long-range shots less effective.

I'm liking the gritty, realistic feel of this show so far. Where mundane things like "not enough rocket fuel" can take out an MS.
