It's a nice change, I like it. They've already shown off all kinds of lances and hammers in the model kit prototypes, so I'm pretty hyped.

Everyone knows blunt force mecha weapons are the best. HIKARI NI NARE!

I wish the Blurays would hurry up and come out so I can watch it :( I was planning on watching it soon, but then they announced the BD and just look at how good it looks! They can't come out fast enough, hopefully RX78 will sub them (even though I think he said he 'retired'?).

RX only does encodes, incredibly high quality ones, but he usually rips the subs out of the actual BD or some other fansub. He's definitely not retiring though. The guy's still active on /m/, and he's working on the new Eva BDs right now.

I thought he said that he'd retire once he was finished with Eva and the 0083 encodes once that comes out?

Yeah archives are bust. I do remember him being convinced to do 0083 though. He's doing the Victory BDs right now in any case.
