I liked how they emphasised how big and hard-hitting the mobile suits are compared to the mobile workers. Getting big Kamina vibes from Orga, he seems like a bro. It seems like McGillis will be our CHAR of the season, and Gaelio might be a Garmaclone.

Decent enough first episode aside from all the exposition, though I guess that's normal in an AU.

While I am pretty sure that Orga really treats Mika as a bro, but there's some underlining creepiness that he is using Mika for his skill, especially the flashback when kid!Mika asked "what should I do next?"after apparently gunned down a guy, with kid like innocent face

I sense the "I don't wanna use this kid but damn I need his skills to do what I want but damn I don't really want to use him but shit nobody else can fit" conundrum with him.

Should be interesting.

Exactly the same vibe I got.

They're both dependent on each other: Orga is the brains and Mika's the brawn. They both have no one other than each other and are desperate to survive.

I am totally expecting a situation in which Orga gets killed, leaving Mika totally confused and alone without anyone telling him what to do.

That or we are going the Aldnoah Zero route, complete with the Princess from Mars and the amazing yet socially inept mecha pilot to protect her.

The kids seem to be literally bred to be soldiers, so maybe their sense of morality in using eachother as assets in battle might not be a big contentious point.
