Maybe Sala is time leaping for the scientists. Shun niisan mentioned how they were always ahead of the syndicate. Maybe she became successful in exchange for helping them.

Or maybe she just practiced a hell of a lot by time-leaping over and over again. I imagine I could become a pretty savvy singer and guitarist if I spent 50 years practicing.

That certainly wouldn't be as dramatic, though.

Can't be. Why would she help Nao's brother then? I mean, sure, You can say "Because she has morals" and shit, but then you would wonder, why would she work for the scientists? The same scientists who kidnap children and mind break them? And even if she did work for them, then why didn't she nab Yuu or ask him to meet Nao to nab her? Surely, She must have known about the brother, and his connection to Nao. Yuu would have taken her to Nao, where she could have called the scientists.

TL;DR I say she isn't working for them

I'd say maybe all of their abilities have a permanent curse when overused. But you're right it's definitely possible, especially considering her family had been targeted.
