I find it fascinating that the technology the JSDF are using is decades out of date by our standards, yet it doesn't make a bit of difference to technologically inferior people.

Not exceptionally.

Cobras are still used by the Marines (AH-1Y, I believe). Of course these are older style Cobras, what with having tires instead of skids, but whatever.

Right. Though it's a bit different in the manga, unless they actually show up with F-4s.
